It appears that the producers of “I’m A Celebrity” are considering having Maura Higgins take over the spot previously held by Tommy Fury in the jungle.
The 25-year-old boxer had been negotiating with ITV producers for several months regarding his participation in the show, after his breakup with Molly-Mae Hague, also 25. However, he decided to withdraw from the plan only two weeks before his anticipated trip to Australia.
It is being speculated that ITV may be considering Maura, aged 33 and a close friend of Molly-Mae, as a potential replacement for the current contestant. Reports suggest that ITV executives are hoping that the attractive Irish woman will reveal details about her friend during her time in the jungle.
According to a source, when Tommy Fury withdrew from consideration, Love Island producers saw this as an opportunity to explore other options, and Maura emerged as the ideal replacement for the show.

After it was reported that Tommy declined I’m A Celebrity, there are rumors that he received a better-paying opportunity instead, speculated to be a reprise of his match against KSI.
According to a source close to the TV production, the executives were taken aback by Tommy’s decision to withdraw from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! at such a late point in time, as they believed this would have been an excellent chance for his career growth.
Fortunately, the executives have some outstanding potential candidates ready as backup, so they will now be assessing which ones align best with the existing roster to ensure a fantastic series is produced.
