Rogue Flight Brings Anime-Inspired Arcade Space Shooter Action to Xbox Series X|S Today
As a seasoned spacefarer with a heart full of nostalgia for the golden age of anime and arcade shooters, Rogue Flight has catapulted me back to my youthful years spent navigating galaxies filled with danger and camaraderie. With its breathtaking visuals that evoke the spirit of iconic sci-fi series, this game takes me on a thrilling ride across the Sol System as part of an elite flight force.
Today I’m diving headfirst into the cosmos with “Rogue Flight,” an anime-inspired space shooter! As a member of a powerful flight squadron, I’ll be blasting off on thrilling arcade missions throughout our solar system. The nefarious ARGUS faction is causing chaos, and it’s up to me to bring back harmony by taking them down! Buckle up, folks, it’s going to be one heck of a ride!
As a part of the Solar Defense Force, protecting the remaining fragments of human civilization, you’ll take control of an upgradeable spacecraft to combat waves of adversaries across various landscapes. This epic journey offers multiple storylines, allowing for different experiences. With nine levels spread across seven distinct regions, there’s an arcade mode for casual play, and by progressing, you can unlock a roguelike mode that presents more challenges, but also greater rewards.
In addition to personalizing your spaceship with 100 liveries and 24 badges, you also have the option to customize your weaponry and aerodynamic design. This includes 40 unique aero designs and 40 distinct weapons. As you progress through your space missions, you can earn additional extras and awards. For a closer look at the game, check out the launch trailer below.
Right now, you can get your hands on “Rogue Flight” across multiple platforms including Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers. The game is affordably priced at $17.99 or £14.99.
