As a lifestyle expert with a penchant for adventure and a deep appreciation for personal journeys, I find myself captivated by Ben Fogle’s latest escapade. His recent Instagram post, showcasing his muscular thighs in a pair of short shorts, is not just an ode to fashion, but a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.

Fans will be used to be seeing Ben Fogle in waterproof trousers and a fleece.

Yet Ben Fogle slipped into something a tad more revealing as he flashed his muscular thighs in a pair of short shorts on Friday.

50-year-old TV personality known for Countryfile, shared an Instagram post that had fans admiring as he lounged by a crackling fireplace inside a rustic cottage.

Wrapped up warm on his top half, the father-of-two donned a thick green jumper, khaki coat and fingerless gloves.

Despite appearing quite comfortable, it seemed he was experiencing some warmth lower down while sporting snug green shorts.

In a surprising turn, he explained, “I won’t sugarcoat it. I have a soft spot for mini-skirts. The shorter, the more appealing they become.

‘Whatever the weather. Whatever the season. Whatever the setting Long live the short short.’

His post sparked a lot of discussion amongst his fans, as explorer Steve Backshall commented: ‘Apparently, someone didn’t do their leg workouts.’

Good Morning Britain’s weather forecaster didn’t hesitate to add a humorous remark, saying: “Quadinhell, always makes me think twice about wearing shorts around him.

Fans commented, “Could this be a display of charm?”; “Check out those quads, young man!” ; “We’re also fond of your short shorts”; “Nothing compares to the allure you’ve created here”; or simply, “Your physique and fashion choice are captivating us!

‘If you’ve got the quads, flaunt them! My husband has a fine pair of legs and is still in shorts in the drizzly but beautiful Lake District’; ‘Well if all men had those legs a short short is a good idea…’

Despite dedicating much effort to squat exercises, Ben hasn’t slackened off when it comes to his professional obligations.

He has fronted Channel 5 show, New Lives In The Wild, since it first hit screens back in 2013, and delighted fans last month when he revealed it will be back for it 18th series.

Sharing with his 625,000 Instagram fans, Ben hinted at an upcoming release: “Wild Life Updates Coming Soon,” accompanied by a picture of the globetrotter, seemingly in a secluded and exotic setting.

The show sees Ben travel around the world to visit people who have given up the rat race to embrace the wild and live offbeat, adventurous lives.

The news arrives following Ben’s open disclosure about overcoming intense fear and worry, which he referred to as a “mental health crisis,” sharing techniques he employed for his healing process.

As a person openly living with ADHD, I’ve found solace in cognitive behavioral therapy and medication during challenging times. I likened these struggles to a storm, and to weather it, I chose to do less and make my life simpler.

In a detailed Instagram message, the travel host expressed that he wanted to disclose his battles with mental health, considering it essential to be equally transparent about these issues as he has been regarding his physical health struggles.

Ben wrote: ‘A year ago I suffered a mental health wobble. An episode. A storm. A blip

‘I can’t say there’s a particular name for it, but what happened could be described as a burnout or breakdown. Since then, I’ve been on an interesting journey of self-discovery and have learned quite a bit about my unique neurological traits.’

After weathering the tempest, I found my way using a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy, medication, and now some unconventional healing methods. Now, I’m starting to feel like my true self once more.

‘Gone is the crippling paranoia and anxiety, replaced by my calm old self.

I’m sharing this with you initially, because I think it’s essential for those who celebrate achievements together, to also acknowledge each other’s weaknesses and challenges.

‘I’m not doing this just to follow a trend or to gain sympathy. Instead, I believe that what has happened to me could potentially happen to anyone.’

However, much like a fractured bone, a lung weakened by pneumonia, or an infection that eats away at flesh (experiences I’ve gone through), healing is possible.

He continued: They don’t define us or make us weak. They prove that we are human. Vulnerable to the pressures of modern life.

Mental health traumas shouldn’t carry a stigma, but rather serve as a wake-up call about the growing complexity of the world around us.

One way to rephrase the text while maintaining its essence could be: “I’ve found relief by cutting down on activities, streamlining my lifestyle. This includes reduced use of social media, fewer work commitments, and a release from the need to be flawless. The outcome is that I experience less anxiety, stress, anger, and obsession.

‘Adding extra time has brought me back to my true self. It’s as if I’ve rediscovered myself. I remain the same person you’ve always known. Straightforwardly, love, tranquility, and uncomplicatedness.’
