Preparations are happening at Coleen and Wayne Rooney’s £20 million home in Cheshire for Coleen’s upcoming 40th birthday.

Oh my gosh, you will NOT believe this! They’ve put up this HUGE marquee – seriously, it’s massive – right in their front yard! And get this, they’ve got outdoor heaters in there! It’s all for this massive Easter party they’re throwing, and I’m already counting down the minutes. It’s going to be epic!

The TV star is turning 40 on April 3rd and is celebrating with a series of events leading up to the big day.

‘I’m looking forward to it. I love a birthday and a celebration’, she previously told OK! magazine.

I’m planning a few get-togethers with loved ones throughout the year. Since my birthday is over Easter and some friends are traveling, I’m happy to have more chances to celebrate.

The house is enormous and includes luxuries like a snooker room, home cinema, wine cellar, and even a football pitch, so the people who live there always have plenty to do.

Coleen and Wayne, both 40, have lived in their mansion for the past five years. It’s believed Wayne purchased the 50-acre property, which used to be farmland, for around £4 million in 2017.

The house is in a highly desirable part of town – known as the Golden Triangle – and is home to many celebrities, athletes, and musicians. It’s an area with some of the most exclusive addresses in the region.

Coleen and her husband Wayne took their children – Kia, 16, Klay, 12, Kit, 10, and Cass, 8 – to Disneyland Paris for a half-term getaway. They were excited to experience the theme park’s new World of Frozen attraction.

Coleen became well-known at just 16 years old when her long-time boyfriend, Wayne, joined Everton’s football team.

Coleen met her future husband when they were both 12 years old in Croxteth, Liverpool, but their relationship hasn’t been without difficulties. She’s faced public challenges due to well-publicized scandals involving her husband, including reports about visits to brothels and encounters with escorts.

As someone who’s followed their story for a while, I was really struck by Coleen’s recent interview in British Vogue. She finally opened up about the challenges Wayne and she have faced, admitting their marriage hasn’t always been easy – she described it as a ‘battle at times,’ which I think is a really honest way to put it. It takes courage to speak so openly about difficult experiences, and I admire her for doing so.

Early in their relationship, a scandal emerged when news broke in 2004 that Wayne had reportedly visited prostitutes as a teenager two years earlier.

I just… I can’t believe it. Apparently, Wayne, who’s only sixteen, actually paid £140 to… to Charlotte Glover, that woman, for… well, you know. It’s just awful, and I’m completely shocked. I’ve been following Wayne for a while now, and to hear something like this… it’s devastating. It’s just so wrong, especially considering his age and her being 21. I can’t stop thinking about it.

Reports also alleged that he had sexual encounters with two women at a Liverpool brothel: Gina McCarrick, age 37 at the time, and Patricia Tierney, a 48-year-old grandmother known as the ‘Auld Slapper’ who reportedly wore a rubber catsuit.

Coleen supported her husband publicly but remained silent about the allegations. She later revealed that, at the time the scandal broke, she and Wayne hadn’t been intimate yet.

Coleen described the events of 2023, explaining they had intense arguments after discovering his affair. She said she was so upset when he warned her the story was going public, she couldn’t even bring herself to talk to him.

In addition to challenges with her marriage, Coleen has experienced profound sadness from the loss of her sister, Rosie, who tragically died 13 years ago at only 14 years old.

Rosie died after a long struggle with Rett syndrome, a rare condition affecting the brain that causes significant disabilities.

This condition impacts a person’s ability to move and causes different symptoms depending on the individual.

When Rosie was two years old, she went to live with Coleen’s parents, Tony (a bricklayer) and Colette, who used to work as a nursery nurse, as a foster child.

They knew she had a disability, but they weren’t aware of how severe it was. Unfortunately, there’s no known cure for her condition.

Coleen has often discussed her younger sister, Rosie, and in 2024 revealed that her family had always recognized she was unique.

Oh my god, you guys, watching the documentary was EVERYTHING. Rebekah, she just opened up about Rosie, and it was so sweet! She said Rosie basically became the sister she always dreamed of having. Seriously, I was tearing up! It just shows how close they were, and it was so lovely to hear her say that. I’m obsessed with their bond!

She continued speaking to her parents, Tony and her mother, explaining that she used to enjoy doing her hair and picking out clothes with her mother.

‘She brought that little bit extra to the house. We fell in love with her.’

Coleen Rooney‘s documentary is called ‘Wagatha Christie’ due to her highly publicized legal dispute with Rebekah Vardy, another wife of a professional footballer.

The well-known case began when Coleen publicly posted a letter on social media in October 2019, explaining she’d investigated on her own to discover who was sharing her private stories with the press.

Coleen publicly accused Rebekah of leaking information from her private Instagram to the newspapers, claiming Rebekah’s account was the source of three fabricated stories.

The details revealed her trip to Mexico for a procedure to choose the gender of her baby, her intentions to go back to working on television, and a flood that damaged the basement of her house.

Coleen admitted she suspected someone was leaking stories and explained she had a plan to find out who it was.

‘I blocked everyone from viewing my Instagram stories except ONE account,’ she wrote.

Over the following five months, she posted several fabricated stories online to check if news outlets would pick them up.

She wrote that they actually went through with it all! She was referring to the story about choosing the gender of their baby in Mexico, her return to television, and most recently, the flooding in the basement of her new home.

It’s been difficult staying quiet, especially with rumors spreading, but I had to wait until I knew for sure. Now I’ve identified the source of the leaks.

I kept copies and screenshots of the original stories, which prove only one person saw them.

And then, she delivered her final iconic line: ‘It’s………. Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

In June 2020, Rebekah sued Coleen for libel, claiming the published post and its aftermath caused her significant emotional distress, including hurt, anxiety, and embarrassment.

Well, after a long and difficult legal battle, the case finally wrapped up. Unfortunately, the court didn’t rule in her favor, but thankfully, a substantial seven-figure settlement was reached. It’s never easy when things end up in court, but sometimes a financial resolution is the best way to move forward.

Following their loss in the highly publicized libel case, WAG agreed to pay £1,190,000 towards Coleen’s legal fees, and was also ordered to cover an additional £212,266 in court costs.

After the case concluded, she released a statement saying she was relieved by the ruling in her favor, and that it provides closure for her and her family.

I’m thankful the decisions have consistently been in my favor throughout this lengthy process. Still, as I’ve always believed, this issue shouldn’t have been brought up or dragged on for so long.

It would have been better to spend the time and money on something else. I’m grateful to my lawyers, managers, friends, and family for all their help and encouragement.

I’m very grateful for the kind messages and support I’ve received from the public. This has been a difficult experience, but I appreciate how my family and team have handled everything. We’re now looking forward to putting this behind us and moving on.
