In response to the question about Helldivers 2 potentially releasing on Xbox, Community Manager ‘Twinbeard’ (via Eurogamer) stated, “While it ultimately depends on Sony and Phil to decide, theoretically speaking, if both parties believe it would be financially or brand-wise advantageous, then there’s a possibility for it.

Since its release in February, Helldivers 2 has drawn a substantial crowd on PS5 and PC, with players eagerly diving into bug-blasting chaos. Meanwhile, the closest equivalent on Xbox is Starship Troopers: Extermination, a game inspired by the film, which in turn served as an inspiration for Helldivers.

Helldivers 2 is a third-person game like Starship Troopers: Extermination. Whether or not it arrives on Xbox depends on Sony, as they own the brand. If Sony feels it wouldn’t be beneficial for them, then it might not come to Xbox, according to Twinbeard.
