Tom Holland confirms Spider-Man 4 will film in Summer 2025: "It's happening"

As a die-hard Marvel fan who has grown up with Spider-Man being an integral part of my cinematic universe, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming Spider-Man 4! The sheer anticipation has been building ever since No Way Home left us hanging, and now that Tom Holland himself has confirmed it, I’m ready to swing from rooftop to rooftop in pure joy.

Since the smashing success of “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which raked in almost $2 billion at the box office, fans have been eagerly awaiting any updates on a sequel. As Peter Parker, AKA your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man played by Tom Holland, “No Way Home” was a massive hit because it skillfully catered to longtime fans with the return of past Spideys, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, while also delivering an engaging storyline. Despite Marvel’s Multiverse Saga growing increasingly complex, “No Way Home” stands out as one of the finest examples of a Multiverse film done correctly.

Additionally, Holland’s Parker found himself in an intriguing predicament following his heroic act of preventing Earth-616 from catastrophe. Consequently, the memories of every inhabitant in that world were erased, leaving them unaware of Spider-Man’s true identity. As a result, not only is the Avengers team missing one of its crucial members, but Parker’s nearest associates like his girlfriend MJ (portrayed by Zendaya) and best friend Ned (played by Jacob Batalon) no longer recognize him. Is there a possibility that we might witness a sequel delving into the subsequent events for this version of the web-slinger?

It has been whispered before that Sony and Marvel were drafting a script, but now it’s confirmed: Tom Holland is set to reprise his role in Spider-Man 4! This week, he made the announcement on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. “It’s happening,” Holland shared. “We start shooting next summer. Everything is in motion, we’re almost there. It’s incredibly exciting. Yes, I can’t wait!

Tom Holland recalls how he lied to everyone about Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield being in Spider-Man: No Way Home

After some time filled with back-and-forth discussions, it’s delightful to receive confirmation that Spider-Man 4 is indeed moving forward with Holland, and filming will commence next summer! Now that the secret has been revealed, Holland can share more exciting details. He recently shared insights on The Rich Roll Podcast about their script readings for the movie and its current status. “It requires refinement, but the writers are doing a fantastic job,” he stated. “Zendaya and I read it three weeks ago, and it reignited my passion. We found ourselves jumping around our living room, saying this is a genuine movie that deserves the fans’ respect.

During his appearance on Fallon, Holland discussed a variety of topics, among which was “No Way Home”. When promoting this film earlier, Fallon asked Holland via Zoom if Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were part of the movie. At the time, Holland jokingly denied it, sparking laughter before he eventually confirmed the upcoming “Spider-Man 4”.

Holland described working with Maguire and Garfield as the pinnacle of his career, calling it simply fantastic,” he shared. Regarding the secretive nature of bringing back the original Spider-Men, Holland explained that they were “immersed in a protective environment. We were filming on set, everything was confined to the studio. Tobey and Andrew would appear on set like a disguise, it felt surreal, almost like a ‘Star Wars’ scene.

It is pretty funny to imagine Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield walking about a backlot in cloaks like scary Siths or mysterious Jedi. All in the name of showbiz!

Tom Holland’s non-alcoholic beer Bero is out now!

The primary motive behind Holland’s appearance on Fallon was to publicize Bero, his freshly launched non-alcoholic beer. It’s quite common for celebrities to become involved in brand development when they attain a certain level of notoriety. However, Holland emphasized that Bero holds a special significance for him. A few years back, Holland struggled with alcohol addiction. After overcoming his addiction, he found himself yearning for the sense of belonging at social gatherings in bars and restaurants without a drink. This led him to discuss the idea of creating a non-alcoholic beer alternative with his agent, which eventually materialized into Bero, as we know it today.

1) I can grab Bero right now at any store where I pick up my non-alcoholic brews!
