Tom Holland confirms when Spider-Man 4 starts filming

As a long-time Marvel enthusiast and avid Spider-Man fan, I can hardly contain my excitement about Tom Holland confirming that Spider-Man 4 will start filming next year! Ever since Peter Parker swung back onto our screens in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, I’ve been hooked on his web-slinging antics.

Tom Holland has confirmed that Spider-Man 4 will begin filming next year.

In the year 2021, the actor was most recently portrayed as Peter Parker in the film “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. During this movie, he joined forces with past Spidermen, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, to battle villains from various universes.

In a recent interview on the Jimmy Fallon show, it was made clear that a new Spider-Man film is indeed being planned and will likely begin filming next summer.

The event is imminent! We’ll begin filming next summer, and everything seems to be falling into place. The anticipation is almost unbearable – it’s incredibly thrilling! I can hardly wait.

The news follows Holland sharing that he, alongside his co-actor Zendaya, have already gone through an early version of the script for the next installment.

He mentioned that while there’s room for improvement, the writers are doing an exceptional job. Three weeks ago, reading their work sparked a passion within him.

“Zendaya and I sat down, read it together and we at times were bouncing around the living room.”

After being released in December 2021, the film “Spider-Man: No Way Home” garnered a global revenue of $1.92 billion, securing its position as the seventh highest-grossing movie ever made.

It’s been announced that director Jon Watts, who led No Way Home and the previous two Spider-Man films, will not be directing the fourth movie. Instead, Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, is taking over as director.

Outside the Marvel realm, Holland has recently been chosen for Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming movie, co-starring with Matt Damon.

Although the specific title and storyline haven’t been disclosed just yet, it is confirmed that the movie is scheduled for a premiere in the year 2026.
