Zach Bryan confirms breakup with Brianna LaPaglia: 'I failed people that love me'

As a devoted fan who has followed Zach Bryan’s journey from the get-go, I can’t help but feel a pang of empathy as I read about his breakup with Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. It seems like every time this man picks up a guitar, he pours his heart and soul into his music, giving us a raw and poignant glimpse into his life. And now, it appears that even his personal relationships are a source of inspiration for his art.

Zach Bryan and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia have broken up after one year of dating.

On Tuesday, the artist known for “Pink Skies” shared via his Instagram story that he and his partner had parted ways, putting an end to rumors sparked by screenshots of a dating app profile allegedly belonging to Bryan that surfaced online on Monday. However, even though fans were anticipating a breakup announcement, LaPaglia admitted mere hours later that she was caught off guard by the news, indicating that she wasn’t expecting it.

In his writing, Bryan expressed, “Brianna and I have ended our relationship. However, I hold immense respect and affection for her. She has shown me unconditional love for quite some time now, and for that, I’ll forever be grateful.

The Grammy winner said it has been “an incredibly hard year personally,” during which he has “struggled through some pretty severe things.” In the end, he said, he decided it would be best if he and LaPaglia went their separate ways.

In a heartfelt confession, I admit that I’m far from flawless, always striving for improvement. To those I’ve fallen short of expectations, I extend my deepest apologies. My intentions are always to give my all, but sometimes I fall short, not just to others, but often to myself as well.

Hours later, LaPaglia seemingly responded to Bryan’s post.

The internet celebrity expressed her surprise and stated that she’ll be taking a break from social media for some time to focus on personal healing instead.

She assured that when she’s prepared, she’ll return for conversation. In conclusion of her post, she reminded her fans, ‘Know that you are deeply cherished, and things will always work out fine.’

In July 2023, Bryan and LaPaglia began a romantic relationship, and they made their first public appearance together on the red carpet at the 2024 Grammys in February. At this event, the country artist who produces his own music was honored with his initial award for “I Remember Everything,” his hit duet with Kacey Musgraves, which had reached the top of the charts.

Previously, LaPaglia dismissed speculations about a split in their relationship during an episode of “Barstool Sports’ BFFs” podcast on October 2nd. This show is co-hosted by him along with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards.

Prior to the broadcast of the show, Bryan found himself under criticism following a now-removed tweet where he implied that Kanye West was superior to Taylor Swift. Afterward, he expressed remorse for his post, admitting that he had been overly influenced by alcohol while making an inappropriate comparison between two records.

Last week was particularly tough for me, and as a result, I chose to remove myself from social media. While I can’t speak for Zach directly, he has expressed his feelings on Instagram, suggesting that he is dealing with a lot of personal issues. Unfortunately, it seems like I am bearing the brunt of all these difficulties.

As a film enthusiast putting words together, I’d rephrase it like this: “It’s mind-blowing! I barely had any contact for a full week, but it seems like our absence created quite the buzz online.” She assured us that despite the gap, we’re back in sync now, and everything is running smoothly.

Previously, on Monday, LaPaglia shared a mysterious message hinting at moving on from the past. However, she adjusted her stance on Tuesday.

In time, you’ll realize that life continues regardless of your wishes; the hours will slip by and the world will keep turning as you long for it to stand still.

“The world keeps spinning in hopes of showing you that you can as well.”

Right now, Bryan is taking some time off during his Quitting Time Tour; it picks up again on November 17th in Alberta, Canada.
