Transformers One is now available to watch at home

As a gamer with a heart full of nostalgia for the Transformers franchise, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and anticipation for “Transformers One.” Growing up watching the original series, I have fond memories of the thrilling battles between Autobots and Decepticons. The live-action films have been a blast, but an animated movie feels like a return to my childhood.

Although Transformers One received positive critical acclaim, it failed to make an impact at the box office initially. However, there’s potential for it to have a second chance and find success in home viewing.

In a previously undisclosed account, the animated prequel reveals how Optimus Prime and Megatron, initially inseparable comrades, experienced an event that irrevocably altered not only their own destinies but also the future of their home planet, Cybertron, for all time.

In case you didn’t catch it at the theater, “Transformers One” can now be purchased or rented on Prime Video, iTunes, and various other digital platforms within the U.S.

The film hasn’t been released for home viewing in the UK yet because it wasn’t launched there until October 11, which is a month later than its U.S. premiere.

In the United Kingdom, Transformers One from Paramount Pictures hasn’t specified a digital release date as of now. However, if you’d like to catch it on the big screen, it’s currently showing in theaters.

In the United Kingdom, you have the option to pre-purchase “Transformers One” on Prime Video and iTunes. Once it’s officially released, you’ll be able to watch it. However, please note that it might not become available until late November or early December.

In the UK, you can now pre-order “Transformers One” on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD. However, Paramount has not specified a release date for these physical versions, similar to the digital release.

There’s a limited-edition 4K Steelbook available to pre-order too.

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but notice that it’s been over three decades since we had an animated Transformers movie – that is, until now! With seven live-action Transformers films under our belts in the last 17 years, “Transformers One” finally brings us back to the roots of this beloved franchise. It’s like we’ve been waiting for this moment since 1986’s “The Transformers: The Movie”.

Speaking to Digital Spy, director Josh Cooley aimed to avoid causing distress with his film. He reminisced that watching a certain movie on a friend’s 7th birthday left a lasting impact on everyone present, as it was a traumatic experience for them all in 1986.

The first Transformers movie is currently playing in theaters, and can be purchased or rented on platforms like Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, and others within the United States.
