As a seasoned VALORANT player with countless hours logged in the game, I must admit my excitement is through the roof with the announcement of the Regen Shield coming in patch 9.10! The prospect of a new armor type adds a fresh dynamic to the game, and it’s clear Riot Games is determined to keep VALORANT feeling vibrant and engaging.
In update 9.10 for VALORANT, Riot Games is introducing a fresh armor type called the Regen Shield.
As a dedicated VALORANT gamer, I’m excited to share that Riot Games is always working hard to keep our game fresh and engaging. This is evident in their continuous efforts such as balancing Agents, introducing new playable Agents, designing unique maps, and even adding new weapons like the Outlaw. Now, with patch 9.10, a brand-new armor type, the Regen Shield, is making its way into VALORANT. Can’t wait to give it a try!
What is the Regen Shield in VALORANT?
The official VALORANT X account shared a video featuring key moments from Episode 9 Act 2, as well as previews for what’s ahead during Act 3. They hinted at the upcoming Team Deathmatch map named Glitch, a power-up for Phoenix arriving in patch 9.10, and another feature coming in the same patch – the VALORANT Regen Shield.
In the sneak peek for VALORANT, Phoenix is depicted using the Regen Shield. Ordinarily, Phoenix has self-healing abilities, but this video suggests that when he eliminates an opponent, his shield grows stronger, possibly indicating that regeneration in this game will be linked to obtaining kills.
Since we can’t find the pricing information for the menu at this time, it’s only speculative, but could it be possible that for a slightly increased cost, there might be an option to purchase either a half shield with regeneration properties or a full shield with regeneration properties?
The amount of shield you can recover after making kills depends on the purchases you make. As we get closer to patch 9.10, we’ll learn more details. This is a concept we find intriguing and potentially groundbreaking for the game.
