As a long-time fan of British television and a connoisseur of gripping dramas, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming ITV series, “Until I Kill You.” The images recently released have only served to fuel my anticipation, particularly given Anna Maxwell Martin‘s transformation into Delia Balmer.
ITV recently unveiled fresh photos of the gripping true-crime series titled “Until I Kill You“, highlighting the remarkable transformation undertaken by Anna Maxwell Martin in her portrayal of the character.
In this production, an actor known for his role in “Line of Duty” takes on the character of Delia Balmer – a woman who endured a tumultuous relationship with the serial killer John Sweeney, portrayed by Shaun Evans from the show “Endeavour”.
Prior to the upcoming four-part limited series launching next month, Digital Spy has shared with you eight unique images for your enjoyment.

Maxwell Martin’s Delia, unlike his past characters like the icy-composed senior detective Patricia Carmichael from Line of Duty or the perpetually anxious Julia from Motherland, presents a striking contrast in her persona.
The new photos show Delia interacting with police officers, and also offer a first look at her alongside Evans’ character Sweeney.
Additional images depict Evans’ character, Sweeney, illuminated by a foreboding orange light, and brandishing a sketch of a malevolent-looking face adorned with devilish horns in a threatening posture.
He is also seen sitting in his prison cell while drawing on a large pad in one photo.

When the announcement of “Until I Kill You” came, Maxwell Martin expressed: “It’s always thrilling to work on telling an essential story alongside the talented team from World Productions, producer Ken Horn, director Julia Ford, and a remarkable cast. This project promises to be no exception!
“As it is brought to life by Nick Stevens, hopefully we will do Delia due diligence.”
Evans noted: “Having worked independently with both World Productions and ITV in the past, I’m thrilled about collaborating to narrate this tale. This tale, which should be shared primarily from the perspective of the victim, is one that I eagerly anticipate telling, Delia.
“We have an excellent script from Nick Stevens and I couldn’t be more delighted to work with Anna.”
The four-night series “Until I Kill You” will be broadcast on ITV1, along with streaming on ITVX. A companion documentary titled “Until I Kill You: The Real Story” will also be released.
