James Franco, 46, and girlfriend Izabel Pakzad, 28, make RARE appearance at 16th Film Festival Lumiere in France
As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for celebrity dynamics, I must admit that the relationship between James Franco and Izabel Pakzad is quite intriguing. It’s not every day we see a Hollywood veteran like Franco paired with someone as young and vibrant as Izabel.
On Friday, actor James Franco, aged 46, along with his significantly younger partner Izabel Pakzad (age 28), graced the event at the 16th Lumiere Film Festival held in Lyon, France.
For quite some time now, this duo – who began their relationship in 2017 with Izabel being 21 and James being 39 – appeared to be relishing their moment on the crimson carpet.
Franco said something that made Izabel break into a big, bright smile.
On that special event, Seth Rogen donned a gray sweater featuring a black motif, paired with olive-green trousers.
Izabel sported an attractive appearance in a stylish, short-sleeved black jacket paired with jeans that had cuts at the thighs and were also black.
The couple have been together since November 2017 but went red carpet official in 2018.
Over the past ten years, Franco has primarily avoided public attention due to accusations of sexual misconduct.
2019 saw five students from Studio 4 Film School filing accusations and lawsuits against him, alleging unprofessional conduct involving inappropriate behavior.
One student made a specific allegation against him, stating that he coerced her into engaging in an act of a sexual nature, specifically oral sex.
At the time, Franco denied the allegations via his attorney and eventually settled the lawsuit.
Apart from his claim, he identifies himself as a man in recovery from past struggles with compulsive sexual behavior, having not been faithful to Isabel or any other woman prior to her.
In 2021, Franco stated on the Jess Cagle podcast that he’d previously had relationships with multiple women, but he couldn’t stay loyal to anyone. He admitted to being unfaithful to everyone before meeting Izabel.
Izabel is a graduate from both Penn State University and the University of Southern California, where she honed her skills as both an actor and director.
She has most notably appeared in 2020’s Birds of Prey and the 2019 television series Baker’s Dozen.
When Franco encountered Izabel, she hadn’t been working as an actress, which happened to align perfectly with his preference for dating individuals outside the acting profession.
Franco stated on the podcast that when he first met her, she wasn’t an actress. He had written down all the qualities he desired in a partner, and while being an actress wasn’t a must-have, he admitted that it would have been pleasant if she weren’t one.
Franco learned about Pakzad attending an acting class only after they had been on several dates together.
He expressed that it worked out wonderfully due to our common passions, and the fact that she’s taking charge now. He couldn’t help but feel incredibly fortunate.
