Zayn Malik postpones U.S. tour after death of One Direction bandmate Liam Payne

31-year-old Payne passed away on Wednesday following a fall from a third-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires. Argentine authorities suggested that local police discovered evidence of drugs, alcohol, and damaged items in Payne’s room, implying that he might have fallen while under the influence or unconscious.
Liam Payne’s passing has led to an overwhelming display of sorrow from One Direction fans and his fellow British bandmates, including Malik, who penned, “I lost a sibling when you left us, and I can’t express what I’d give to have one final embrace.” The group also released a joint statement: “The moments we shared with him will be cherished forever. At this moment, our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the fans who adored him as much as we did. We will deeply miss him. Our love goes out to you, Liam.
Malik’s tour schedule has been impacted, with performances scheduled on October 23 at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, October 25 at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, and October 27 at L.A.’s Shrine Expo Hall also affected. Additionally, he is due to appear in Washington, D.C., and New York City on unspecified dates.
