Travis Scott breaks all-time concert attendance record at Sydney's Allianz Stadium after fan was knocked out at his jam-packed show

As a dedicated fan who has attended countless concerts over the years, I must admit that Travis Scott’s recent sold-out shows at Allianz Stadium in Sydney have left me in a state of awe and concern all at once. The energy, the music, the crowd – it was an experience like no other! But as much as I enjoyed the performances, I can’t help but feel disheartened by the incidents that marred the events.

At Allianz Stadium, Travis Scott set a new record for largest concert attendance ever, as every show he played in Sydney was completely sold out.

On Thursday and Friday last week, a popular American hip-hop artist, aged 33, delivered consecutive concerts at the stadium nestled within Moore Park.

Allianz Stadium seats 45,500, with a maximum capacity of 55,500 patrons.

Throngs of enthusiasts flooded the venue to catch Scott’s live performances of popular tracks such as Sicko Mode, Fie, and Nightcrawler.

On last Friday’s performance, the renowned U.S. artist invited The Weeknd on stage to perform a medley of songs, which included “Circus Maximus,” “Pray 4 Love,” “Skeletons,” and “Wake Up.

However, on Thursdays performance took an unfortunate turn as shocking videos emerged showing a spectator being violently thrown into the crowd and unconscious in the mosh pit.

The clip was filmed by an onlooker at Scott’s Circus Maximus tour in on October 17.

In the video, Scott was on stage when it seemed like a cluster of men near the back of the open seating section started appearing restless or upset.

A shirtless man placed another concertgoer into a chokehold before violently tossing him to the ground.

‘Knock him out,’ one person shouted.

‘Whoa, World Star,’ a second said in reference to a news site famous for its fight videos.

The victim lay motionless while other concerned attendees rushed to his aid.

Daily Mail Australia was informed by both the NSW Police and NSW Ambulance that they had no knowledge of any incidents taking place during their show on Thursday.

Social media users slammed the fact that rap concerts do not seem to be safe anymore.

‘This is the downside of all this pit macho-ism,’ one person wrote.

‘The worst part of going to rap shows nowadays. I hope dude is alright,’ another added.

‘People for real don’t know how to act this why we cant have nice things,’ a third wrote.

A bystander who attended the same event claimed to have been in the crowd surf area, stating that moments became quite perilous on occasion.

They shared, “I found myself at the barrier and the crowd was behaving utterly uncontrollably. At times, it made me genuinely terrified – being quite petite, I even felt as though I was struggling to breathe. It’s just heart-wrenching and terrifying.

Others who attended Scott’s second Sydney concert on Friday night echoed the experience.

One individual stated, “I was also trapped there, doing everything I could to avoid squishing the two petite girls beside me. It was absolutely chaotic near the front.

At around two in the night, it seems one of the guys who made a spontaneous mosh pit may have lost some of his front teeth.

‘These things are so dangerous. I really feel for the girls who were in there.’

Concertgoers were also were turned away at Scott’s sold-out Sydney gig on Friday night.

A fair number of disappointed spectators, having attended the performance, voiced their dissatisfaction following instances where some enthusiastic attendees were not allowed in due to their clothing selections.

In the Facebook group Tea Time, someone posed a question concerning the reason behind denying access to the concert, since the stadium’s rules, as stated in their terms and conditions, do not specify a particular dress code.

The sign wanted to know, ‘Why are individuals being denied entry at Travis Scott due to their attire?’ They were simply inquiring out of curiosity.

In response to a curious fan’s question about our attire, I clarified that those who were unable to gain entry were clad in sports team jerseys and adorned with motorcycle emblems.

In licensed establishments within New South Wales, it’s forbidden to wear symbols or insignia that are typically connected with motorcycle groups.

In the comments, several other group members shared their experiences of getting into the concert.

A user claimed one ticket holder was ‘turned away for wearing all black’ clothing.

Over the past couple of days, I’ve been soaking up the vibrant energy of Sydney while showcasing my newest musical creation. Next week, I’ll be hitting the road on a tour along the eastern seaboard. Stay tuned!

He’s got two upcoming shows slated for Melbourne, one on Tuesday and another on Wednesday. The last performance is set for Brisbane on Saturday.

Since the tragic event in Houston, Texas, in 2021 where several people lost their lives, Scott’s concerts have earned a reputation for being chaotic due to unruly audiences.

The Astroworld Festival killed nine concert-goers in Houston, Texas, on November 5, 2021.

According to the county’s medical examiner, the individuals died due to being crushed in the dense crowd during a mosh pit, essentially suffocating from lack of air.

Scott was cleared of any wrongdoing and the deaths were declared to have been an accident.
