As a devoted fan of television drama, I find myself utterly captivated by the impending release of “Code of Silence,” an enthralling six-episode series starring none other than the exceptionally talented Rose Ayling-Ellis. Having won the hearts of millions as the radiant winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2021 and leaving an indelible mark on EastEnders with her portrayal of deaf character Frankie Lewis, Rose has now embarked on a new journey that promises to be nothing short of spectacular.

In the heat of my uncontainable enthusiasm for the gripping new ITV series, Code Of Silence, I found myself, quite unexpectedly, involved in a chilling incident as Rose Ayling-Ellis and I shared the set. I was hit by a vehicle while we were filming those pulse-pounding scenes, a testament to the raw intensity of this captivating production.

29-year-old victor of Strictly Come Dancing was videotaped getting struck by a car while leaving a pub in the bustling streets of London after an arduous day on set.

Rose was eagerly getting ready to portray her fresh character, aiming to amaze audiences in her initial significant part since winning Strictly Come Dancing with Giovanni Pernice in 2021.

With self-assurance, the former EastEnders actress pedaled her bicycle, donning a white helmet and enveloped in an eye-catching orange puffer jacket.

She completed her outfit by adding a green sweater (lime jumper) and jeans, and was carrying a mustard-colored backpack on her back.

In a street scene, the actress is depicted getting struck by a red automobile, suffering injuries, while filming her pioneering part in a gripping six-episode crime drama series.

In the development of a fresh character named Rose, born deaf, she will be reimagined as a hearing-impaired catering professional. Through her exceptional skill in lip-reading, she will unexpectedly transition into a heroine by deciphering criminals’ discussions, ultimately assisting in their apprehension and incarceration.

According to ITV’s summary, she’s finding it tough to balance her finances, working double shifts at a police station cafeteria and a neighborhood pub, all while striving to assist her hearing-impaired mother.

Whenever a law enforcement officer asks me to decipher the whispered exchanges of perilous offenders, I’m catapulted into an electrifying, uncharted realm.

Rose will star alongside Kieron Moore, Charlotte Ritchie and Andrew Buchan.

And ITV, Mammoth Screen and BritBox announced on Wednesday that filming has officially begun.

Lead director Diarmuid Goggins (Kin, Black Cab, Witness No. 3) brings Code of Silence to life.

It is told through the point of view of Alison Brooks (Rose), a Deaf canteen worker.

Alison finds it tough to balance her finances, working at both a police station cafeteria and a neighborhood bar. On top of that, she’s doing her utmost to assist her deaf mother, Fifi Garfield (Julie).

Soon after, Alison finds herself deeply involved in a critical police operation as Detective Sergeant Ashleigh Francis (Charlotte Ritchie) requests her exceptional lip-reading abilities to keep tabs on a perilous criminal group.

As Alison’s understanding of their secret talks takes center stage in the case, she finds herself swept up in a thrilling, unfamiliar realm.

Her part swiftly proves crucial for solving the police mystery, yet things get intricate for her as she inadvertently develops feelings towards one of the suspects, Liam Bayne, portrayed by Kieron Moore.

Despite knowing the risks and the growing threat to her personal life, Alison can’t let go.

In a new six-part series, Rose will make her significant return to acting following her Strictly Come Dancing victory in 2021, partnered by Giovanni. However, Giovanni recently left the dance show amid accusations of bullying, which he firmly refutes.

Additionally, they were honored with the ‘can’t-miss moment’ award at the BAFTAs for their silent dance performance synchronized to Clean Bandit’s hit song “Symphony”.

She left EastEnders in 2022, after playing deaf character Frankie Lewis for two years.

This past spring, she received an MBE in recognition of her volunteer efforts within the deaf community during the monarch’s birthday celebrations.

Code of Silence will premiere in 2025 on ITV1 and will be available for streaming on ITVX.
