As a die-hard fan of Virgin River, I can hardly contain my excitement for the sixth season! The anticipation has been building ever since Jack proposed to Mel and now, with the release date confirmed for Christmas, it feels like the perfect present!

Virgin River’s sixth season has dropped a first-look trailer ahead of its release this Christmas.

In the upcoming season, the tantalizing preview hints at the nuptials of Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson), a wedding that follows their heartfelt proposal in the fourth season.

In the latest preview, the series evokes a significant scene, as Jack expresses: “Mel, since the first time I saw you, I felt there was something extraordinary about you. And the more I’ve come to know and love you, the more my affection for you has deepened.

We then get a glimpse of what’s to come, including a tease of Mel’s all-important wedding dress.

As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to confirm that we finally have a solid release date: December 19! This news comes after some unexpected production hiccups for the upcoming episodes.

Last year, the fifth season of the show was released on Netflix in two halves, but unlike what many expected, it did not feature Mel and Jack’s wedding; instead, it delved into different storylines.

In a conversation last December, Breckenridge expressed her unique vision for her upcoming wedding, contrasting it with her 2015 nuptials to musician Casey Hooper that were held at Colorado’s Dunton Hot Springs. She intends for this event to be distinct from her previous one.

She shared with TV Line that she recently discussed a possible wedding for her character, mentioning that she hopes this event will take an unconventional turn. However, she also acknowledged that it might end up resembling more traditional weddings in the end.

In August, it was disclosed that Breckenridge had momentarily stopped filming the show due to an unexpected incident involving a chicken coop at her residence.

Virgin River season 6 will premiere on December 19. Seasons 1-5 are streaming now on Netflix.
