As I delve into these captivating tales, I find myself awestruck by the kaleidoscope of lives that intertwine and unfold before our very eyes. The first story, about the late gentleman, strikes me as a testament to the resilience of love and the human spirit. Despite four marriages, it seems that this man found in Donna Gardner a partner worthy of his final chapter. A shared country house, a trust controlled by his adoptive family, and an estate worth £554,000 paint a picture of a life lived on its own terms, filled with love and companionship.
Renowned as Britain’s most esteemed contemporary artist, David Hockney was deeply saddened by the demise of his young art studio assistant, Dominic Elliott, approximately ten years back.
To such an extent that Hockney decided to put up for sale his five-bedroom house in Bridlington, located on the Yorkshire coast. Here, Dominic, under the influence of a mix of illicit substances and alcohol, consumed household cleaner with Hockney’s former partner. This tragic incident led to his untimely death at the age of 23.
After selling the house in 2015, Hockney lived mainly in Los Angeles and then in France.
Now, however, the Yorkshireman appears to have finally come home, at the age of 87.

It has been revealed that the artist recently changed his residential status with Companies House, confirming he now lives in the United Kingdom. The paperwork for David Hockney Ltd was submitted just last week.
In 2021, Hockney relocated to France, settling in a 17th-century home in Normandy. He explained his decision to move by expressing his desire for the liberty to smoke inside restaurants and his admiration for the French lifestyle, stating that they know how to live well.
In the year 2022, he revealed a 300-foot long depiction of the Normandy landscape, created on his iPad – a technique that is now closely associated with him.
Prior to that point, I’d been calling the United States home sweet home. For over four decades, I found myself basking under the Californian sun in the vibrant city of Los Angeles. America, my beloved ‘promised land,’ was a source of endless inspiration for me. The enchanting beauty of California, particularly its iconic swimming pools, became recurring motifs in my paintings, a testament to my undying love and admiration for this Golden State.
Although Hockney stated that both the U.S. and France could be excellent settings for an artist, a significant portion of his work draws inspiration from Britain. This inspiration extends to his landscapes of Yorkshire and the acclaimed series he created.
The Arrival of Spring in Woldgate, East Yorkshire in 2011 (twenty eleven).
Following his graduation from the Royal College of Art in London in 1962, Hockney resided in a flat located in Notting Hill on occasion until 1973, whenever he returned home.
David Hockney primarily resided in Britain from 2003 to 2013, transforming his previous bed and breakfast in Bridlington into a vibrant art studio.
Liz’s boy reunites with ‘daddy’ for Diwali
Elizabeth Hurley expressed her sorrow over not being able to have a child with her former spouse, Arun Nayar.
However, for most part of his life, Indian textile heir Arun has served as a paternal figure to Damian Hurley, aged 22, whose biological father is the late American film producer Steve Bing.
This week, they came together again at a joint Diwali feast hosted by the Royal Drawing School and India’s prestigious Institute of Fine Arts, held at the BAFTA headquarters on Piccadilly.
‘Arun is Damian’s daddy, and a very good one,’ Liz has said. ‘They see each other a lot.’
In the year 2011, she parted ways with Arun through divorce, and subsequently, he tied the knot with model Kim Johnson. However, their marriage ended in 2017.

Not many have led a lifestyle as swift and extravagant as Nigel ‘The Rat’ Pollitzer, the petite charmer often referred to as one who changed partners like some change weekends.
However, almost eight months following his demise at the age of 82, it has now become possible for me to reveal that he was on the verge of marrying for a fourth time. He had mentioned that his recently published will was drafted in anticipation of his marriage to Donna Gardner.
Donna shared with me that we had been a couple for thirty years, a fact that could come as a shock to Louise Westlake, who was Pollitzer’s third wife and married him in 1996.
In simple terms, he (Pollitzer) and Donna, who stood to inherit his estate worth around £554,000, co-owned a large countryside property located in Sussex. This property was held under the management of a trust that was overseen by Pollitzer’s adoptive family.
Arty Flora is a gem for jeweller Tiffany
It was noticed that Princess of Wales was seen donning Tiffany bracelets and earrings, yet another royal family member outdid her by landing a position at the renowned American jewelry brand, Tiffany.
Art advisor Flora Vesterberg, aged 29 and a granddaughter of Princess Alexandra, expresses: ‘I find it quite organic how art and jewelry intersect, and I feel incredibly fortunate to delve deeper into this connection.’
She has already curated a Tiffany & Co exhibit, Windows of Wonder, which can be seen at Selfridges on London’s Oxford Street.

It seems doubtful that the late Dame Maggie Smith, who was 89 when she passed away recently, regarded her portrayal of Mother Superior in Sister Act as her most outstanding acting performance.
Nevertheless, filmmaker Barry Sonnenfeld, most famously recognized for the Men In Black series, recounts in his autobiography that producer Scott Rudin threatened to walk away from Sister Act if he couldn’t secure her involvement.
‘Scott arrived in his BMW 740i with the windows open and shouting through the car’s sound system, causing the valet parker to remain stationary…’ It’s straightforward,’ Rudin bellowed.
‘I either have Maggie Smith or I shut down the movie.”

In the upcoming film “Gladiator II,” directed by Sir Ridley Scott, Paul Mescal from “Normal People” will engage in combat in a Roman-era Colosseum.
Away from the spotlight, the actor expresses a fondness for a distinct stage. This past week, Mescal, aged 28, was spotted at London’s O2 arena, taking in The Rest Is Politics Live – a performance of Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart’s podcast. It appears that podcasts are rapidly becoming the new music sensation.
Beck’s team plays by his fashion rules
During his time on the field, David Beckham had a reputation for his unique sense of style. However, he doesn’t encourage or permit his football players to showcase their individual styles in their uniforms.
Instead of having their players post pictures wearing their newest game attire prior to matches, the current proprietor (who was previously the captain of England’s soccer team) of Inter Miami CF has decided to halt this digital fashion trend among his squad members.
He shared with his ex-Manchester United teammate during the Rio Ferdinand Presents podcast that initially our squad tried it a few times, but I put an end to it because at that moment we weren’t securing victories in matches.
‘They can still do it, I just don’t want to see it on social media if we’re actually losing games.’
