Cronos: The New Dawn is the Next Horror Game From Bloober Team
As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for survival horror games and a soft spot for sci-fi narratives, I must say that Cronos: The New Dawn has piqued my interest. With its eerie atmosphere, twisted time travel storyline, and apocalyptic setting reminiscent of the 1980s Poland, it seems to be a unique blend of genres that could potentially offer a fresh survival experience.
Bloober Team, the creators behind the remakes of The Medium and Silent Hill 2, have unveiled their next venture into survival horror: Cronos: The New Dawn, a chilling sci-fi tale unfolding within a harsh apocalyptic version of 1980s Poland.
Presented as a “puzzling time-travel narrative”, Crono casts you in the role of a Traveler, a character assigned with retrieving certain individuals from the past who didn’t make it through the apocalypse, on behalf of a mysterious organization referred to as ‘The Collective’.
To finish your assignment, you’ll need to journey through a perilous landscape, the result of a massive upheaval called ‘The Change’. This catastrophe has not only altered the terrain but also unleashed monstrous creatures which will challenge your fighting skills to their limits.
Piotr Babieno, CEO of Bloober Team, explains that by blending the chilling ambiance of horror and the limitless possibilities of science fiction, Cronos will offer a unique survival adventure. We eagerly anticipate its global release in 2025,” says the team at Bloober.
In the video trailer unveiled here, you’ll get your initial glimpse of “Cronos: The New Dawn.” This game will be released for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and personal computers next year.
