However, SWAT, which premiered in 2017, faced extra challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lockdowns and general uncertainty made it difficult to hold viewers’ attention, even among dedicated fans. The show’s high production costs, due to its many stunts and physical demands, combined with cast changes, led CBS to question whether continuing the series was financially worthwhile.

Felicia Hardy, best known as Black Cat, hasn’t had a significant live-action appearance beyond a brief, and somewhat weak, portrayal by Felicity Jones in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Aside from comics and the Marvel’s Spider-Man video game, fans haven’t seen much of the character, which is surprising considering her importance in the original stories. That needed to be addressed.

The new series Sugar is quickly becoming a hit on Apple TV+, currently ranking as the ninth most popular show. It’s also ninth worldwide, appearing between Ted Lasso and Shrinking in the rankings. The show has seen success in numerous countries beyond the U.S., including the UK, Spain, France, Germany, Canada, and Italy.

The initial trailer for X-Men ’97 season 2 is out, offering a preview of the upcoming battle against Apocalypse. The conflict will span across different time periods – Ancient Egypt in 3000 B.C., the year 3960, and 1997. Several beloved characters from the original X-Men: The Animated Series, like Psylocke, Havok, Angel, and Polaris, will also return and have important roles in the new season.

This May, several shows like Arrow, Hart of Dixie, and The 100 became available for free streaming. More shows, including Everwood and Major Crimes, will be added in June. On the movie side, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem and other titles are now available to stream for free.
