Why Annie Kilner filing for divorce from Kyle Walker heralds an ugly new chapter… with Lauryn Goodman believing she ‘is in with a chance’
As a dedicated follower who has witnessed the tumultuous world of football and its entangled love lives, I must say this latest turn of events between Kyle Walker and his wives leaves me utterly bewildered. I’ve seen it all – from scandals to divorces, but this WAG war seems to have reached new heights, or perhaps depths would be more appropriate.

Now, approximately ten months since Annie Kilner discovered that Kyle Walker was the father of another child with Lauryn Goodman, it seems their marriage has come to an end.
In an unexpected turn of events, Ms. Kilner took legal action by serving divorce papers to the England and Manchester City defender, following her instruction to lawyers to initiate the formal process of ending their long-term relationship, which started during their teenage years.
A source close to the pair told the Mail: ‘The end of the road now seems to have arrived.’
Reports suggest that Ms. Kilner, aged 31 and a mother of four with Walker, is said to be seeking a share worth half of his estimated £27 million wealth, as it is widely believed.
It’s been reported that Walker, aged 34, and Ms. Kilner have apparently stopped communicating with each other, and he is currently seeking legal advice.
He is said to have been ‘stunned’ when he got the papers, according to The Sun.
A source told them: ‘This is as much Annie flexing her muscles as it is anything else. She wants Kyle to know she’s not messing about. But if this is a bluff, it may well backfire.’
The chain of unfortunate incidents leading to one of the largest football scandals started in the year 2019. During a break from Ms. Kilner, Walker found himself in a situation where he fathered Ms. Goodman’s child, Kairo.
He and Ms Kilner got back together shortly afterwards and married in secret in 2021.
In the cold season of 2022, following yet another short relationship, Ms. Goodman found herself expecting Walker’s child again. And by the next summer, a little girl named Kinara – who happens to be Kyle’s sole daughter – made her entry into the world.
Last year on December 27th, Lauryn Goodman privately informed pregnant Ms. Kilner, who was carrying their fourth son, with a casual announcement: “Hi, this is Lauryn. I just felt it necessary to let you know that Kyle is the father of our daughter.
Ms. Kilner, the mother of four boys – Roman (11 years old), Riaan (7), Reign (5), and the youngest, Rezon (6 months) – ended their relationship just two weeks afterward.
At Ms. Kilner’s request, Walker subsequently shared his version of events in a newspaper interview, offering a heartfelt apology to his pregnant childhood sweetheart, who was carrying their fourth child.
He described his relationship with Ms Goodman as involving ‘stupid choices’ and ‘mistakes’.
Later on, Ms. Goodman became very angry and retaliated by stating that his words were incredibly harsh and hurtful towards her kids.
This situation led to an extremely visible and unusual argument, causing the Walkers to engage a Public Relations specialist for media updates after the controversy.
Simultaneously, approximately 250 miles distant from the couple’s £4 million mansion in Cheshire, friends of Lauryn, who resides in Sussex, are reportedly saying that she will be making preparations for a celebration upon hearing that Walker is now free to become a single man.
I’ve been told that she hasn’t given up on him following their brief romantic encounters, resulting in her four-year-old son Kairo and daughter Kinara, who is one. ‘Likely, Lauryn will be celebrating this news,’ someone mentioned to me.
According to her friend, she’s utterly smitten by him and has maintained the belief that they would eventually be a couple. Now, she seems to be a step nearer to realizing this dream.
As I’ve been watching the ups and downs of their relationship, I couldn’t help but hope for the best. Now, it seems things have taken a turn for the worse. With this development, I can’t help but feel there might just be an opportunity opening up. From what I gather from those around me, they believe I’d make a wonderful Mrs. Walker.
It’s clear that Lauryn is putting forth a great effort. She recently enlisted Nicola McLean, who is married to ex-footballer Tom Williams of Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers fame, as her representative.
Nicola herself is no stranger to fame having starred on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity in 2008.
It’s reported that she’s aiming to secure a TV appearance for Lauryn on Celebrity Big Brother. A close acquaintance of hers suggests that her desire for fame is straightforward.
‘She’s firmly resolved to keep center stage, ensuring everything’s right for her children. You can bet Annie won’t fade from our consciousness easily.’
