Britain's Got Talent's Ant and Dec takes a swipe at former judge Bruno Tonioli after he is replaced by YouTuber turned boxer KSI for new series

As a longtime viewer of Britain’s Got Talent, I must say that Simon Cowell’s heartfelt words to Amanda Holden were truly touching. His 18-year relationship with the show and its panel, particularly Amanda, is evident in his gratitude and admiration. It’s a testament to their bond and the magic they’ve created together over the years.

In simpler terms, the hosts of Britain’s Got Talent, Ant and Dec, playfully jabbed at judge Bruno Tonioli following his replacement by boxer KSI on the judging panel.

At the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, the temporary stand-in for Bruno, both a social media sensation and a boxer, confidently strode in, giving the impression of stepping into the boxing ring.

He was enthusiastically introduced following judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, and Alesha Dixon.

The animated presentation took the talk show hosts Ant and Dec by surprise, with Ant humorously commenting, “It seems everyone is asking, ‘Who’s Bruno?’ But I was just kidding!

On Tuesday, Britain’s Got Talent aired its inaugural episode, and it’s rumored that YouTube sensation KSI took over Bruno Tonioli’s role as he’s currently busy shooting the American adaptation of Strictly Come Dancing, known as Dancing With The Stars.

And he appeared to settle in fine on his first episode as he posed for a selfie with the audience.

Toying with hosting legend Simon, he used a filter to put a pair of orange shades over his eyes.

Online, he wrote along with a snap: “What an incredible crowd at Blackpool! So grateful to be a member of this band.

On the very first day, it was allegedly offered to the YouTube personality the chance to activate the golden buzzer – all in recognition of an individual who prepared chicken meals within a Morrisons grocery store.

On Tuesday, Amanda Holden, Simon, Alesha Dixon, and KSI created quite the commotion alongside longtime hosts Ant and Dec as they inaugurated the initial day of the 2024 season.

As the new season approaches, the judges donned their usual dazzling attire. Amanda, who is 53 years old, was nothing short of stunning in a chic off-the-shoulder olive green gown.

Alesha also looked sensational as she layered a white T-shirt over a sheer structure black corset.

However, for the group photo, one recognizable figure was absent since KSI (also known as Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji) had taken Bruno’s spot on this latest panel gathering.

On Tuesday earlier today, Amanda unveiled a preliminary glimpse of the 2024 judging panel following KSI’s brief stint standing in for Bruno.

The veteran show judge posed for a cheeky behind-the-scenes selfie with her fellow judges.

On her Instagram story, she shared a photo and commented: “Look at this incredible lineup! Sending love to @brunotonioliofficial.

It appears that KSI has quickly found his footing, with many believing he was granted a special golden buzzer for his time on the panel as a content creator.

KSI will star on the talent show judge panel just three of the five first round audition days.

According to a source, the management wanted KSI to have a permanent-like judging appearance since he was going to fill in for several days.

This implies that an additional act will receive the Golden Buzzer this year, as well as the judges and hosts Ant and Dec being granted the chance to use it themselves.

‘It will no doubt make the finals more exciting, to see which judge is best at picking a winner.’

It is believed that the content creator was brought in to attract younger audiences.

A source told The Sun in 2023: ‘Simon Cowell knows KSI is a huge hit with the younger generation.

He could significantly enhance our appeal to teenage audiences, a demographic the producers are eager to attract.

As a committed follower, I’m actively engaging with my superiors, aiming to strike an agreement that aligns seamlessly with my bustling timetable, as put forth by KSI.

Initially, when speculations arose about KSI joining the panel, Simon, who was 65 at the time, had to dispel rumors suggesting Bruno’s permanent departure was imminent.

Next year, it has been confirmed that the Italian choreographer will indeed make a return, although there may be scheduling conflicts. However, it was also acknowledged that there could potentially be a substitute in his place.

On Heart Radio, the music tycoon made it clear that he wouldn’t replace Bruno on the program, expressing his affection for Bruno instead.

Simon clarified that Bruno had scheduling issues, so another performer had to stand in for him during the auditions he couldn’t make.

As a seasoned lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself often clearing up misconceptions that surface in the world of entertainment. Recently, there’s been a buzz about Britain’s Got Talent and whether or not Judge Bruno is leaving the show. To put this speculation to rest, let me share some insight:

As Simon confessed the headline was false, Jamie pressed: ‘Okay, well, what of that isn’t truth?

Simon explained: ‘Seriously. I spoke to… I don’t know where all this stuff comes from. I spoke to the producers literally two weeks ago about there is a scheduling issue with Bruno.

Since we have planned for the auditions this year, he will be in America during some of them.

Perhaps someone else will step in for him, I’m not sure though. But I truly appreciate Bruno on this program; I believe he’s exceptional.

Fellow judge Amanda agreed as she added: ‘He brings such an amazing energy and he knows so much.’

Simon also stated that he possesses extensive knowledge in his discussions, and moreover, he is an exceptionally intelligent and kind judge. In response to your question, he emphasized that he would not be replaced.

‘So… Bruno’s coming back?’ asked Jamie as Simon confirmed once and for all: ‘He’s coming back.’

Jamie then asked: ‘Have you approached Alan Carr?’ as Simon replied: ‘No, Amanda wants Alan.’

Jamie inquired, “What level of influence does she hold?”, to which Simon promptly responded, “None,” and Amanda exclaimed, “I have no power to decide anything.

Jamie then joked: ‘Is Amanda coming back?’ as Simon teased: ‘Well, look, let’s celebrate her past.

‘I want to say how much Amanda has brought to the show over the years. I mean, seriously and it will be… it won’t be easy to replace you but I just want to say publicly thank you.’

Amanda added: ‘Thank you, Simon. It’s been an absolute pleasure.’

‘We’ve had fun! I’ve had 18 years of you looking after the mortgage. So thank you.’

Simon expressed honestly, “May I speak openly with you? Frankly, I wouldn’t alter this judging panel. It’s akin to your show being the best; therefore, why should I modify Britain’s Got Talent?

KSI opened up about his music career on Capital Radio on Tuesday.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: “On Jimmy Hill’s show, I confessed that harsh critiques about my music often make me feel frustrated to the point of wanting to break something, such as banging my head against a wall. In fact, one overzealous fan took things too far by sending me an unwanted package containing unpleasant items.

In the course of our conversation, Jimmy inquired about your role as an online persona: ‘Given that position, people tend to comment on everything you post or share. Is it something you continue to pay attention to or have you developed a way to ignore it now?’

KSI stated: “I take a close look at everything. Everything catches my eye sometimes, and other times, it doesn’t. Lately, I believe the overwhelming feedback on my music has affected me, as it is naturally personal to me.

“I believe that in real-life situations, I tend to show my emotions more than if I were making a video, where I might come across as indifferent with phrases like ‘Cool, whatever. It is what it is,’ and then move on quickly.

But because it’s music, you spend a lot of time, mind, body and soul into a piece of art and then you put that into the world.

Instead, consider rephrasing as follows: Well, it seems people are expressing their disapproval by saying things like, “That’s garbage! You’re terrible! Shut it down! Unbearable!” Frankly, it leaves me contemplating the idea of ramming my head into a wall.

Listen to The Capital Evening Show hosted by Jimmy Hill every weekday from 7 pm until 10 pm, available on both Capital Radio and Global Player.
