As a longtime follower, I’ve been watching Jenelle Evans’ situation with her son Jace unfold, and honestly, I don’t think she’s the bad guy everyone’s making her out to be. It’s a really tough family situation, and it’s become so public, but from what I’ve seen, she’s just trying to navigate a difficult relationship with her mom and son. It’s frustrating to see her constantly labeled as the ‘villain’ when there’s clearly more to the story.
Jenelle explained that people are portraying her as the bad guy, but she’s actually working hard behind the scenes to support her child.
The 34-year-old reality star stated she’s focusing on what’s best for her son and quickly shut down further questioning, saying it was a private matter.
Jenelle was reluctant to talk about what happened, but felt she needed to clarify things because she was receiving a lot of unfair blame.
Following a disturbance on February 22nd, 16-year-old Jace is receiving mental health care after allegedly pointing a gun at his grandmother, Barbara Evans, who then called emergency services.
Daily Mail has reached out to Jenelle for further comment on the story.
The situation became even more strained after the incident, as Barbara told TMZ that her daughter, Jenelle, is preventing her from having any contact with Jace while he receives treatment.
Jenelle welcomed her first son, Jace, with her ex-boyfriend Andrew Lewis in August 2009. She also has an 11-year-old son named Kaiser with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffith, and a 9-year-old daughter, Ensley, with her ex-husband David Eason.
Jenelle wanted to handle the issues surrounding Jace privately within her family, but circumstances beyond her control have made that impossible.
Jenelle stated that her family desperately needs privacy right now. She explained that it’s been difficult to maintain that privacy because other family members living far away have been sharing information with the media.
Jenelle has responded to criticism regarding her support for her oldest son, Jace. She’s particularly upset with people who highlight the fact that she lives in Las Vegas while Jace lives in North Carolina, implying she isn’t involved in his life.
Jenelle responded to rumors that she’s neglecting something and doesn’t care, despite being far away. She clarified that it’s impossible for anyone to know her location at all times.
Also, I prioritize my children above everything else. If something important is happening in their lives, I’ll temporarily stop other commitments – that’s why my podcast is currently on hold, and for a really good reason.
Jenelle responded to criticism about appearing happy on social media while her son is receiving treatment, explaining that she’s allowed to have feelings even during a difficult time.
Jenelle explained that people often ask her why she seems so cheerful. She clarified that while she doesn’t want to constantly post sad videos, she does have difficult days like everyone else.
Jenelle said that she’s been emotional at times while in private.
Jenelle admitted she’d been crying for days, sometimes for weeks at a time, due to a variety of upsetting things happening in her life.
Jenelle explained that she always has a valid reason for the choices she makes as a parent, and she’s hopeful that people will see things differently as her family moves past this difficult period.
She hopes that eventually, they’ll be able to look back on this experience as a story of overcoming challenges and finding a happy ending, but she doesn’t feel ready to share it publicly just yet.
Please, with all due respect—and I mean this for my whole family—could everyone just give us a little space? We need some time to ourselves.
Jenelle said she hasn’t ‘been posting as much’ on her social media pages amid the family strife.
Things have been tough, and honestly, my kids are my absolute priority right now, so I’ve been taking a step back from social media. It just doesn’t feel right to be online when I need to focus on them. I want everyone to know that I’m not the bad guy here, and I truly believe the truth will come out eventually.
Earlier this month, a spokesperson for Jenelle told the Daily Mail that she’s still focused on making sure her son receives the best possible care while he’s in treatment.
Jenelle’s son is getting the support he needs, and she’s worked hard to find the best possible treatment and environment for him to improve. Her dedication shows how much she cares about his health and future.
The family and Jenelle Evans are asking for privacy right now as they deal with a personal situation. They appreciate your understanding and support during this time as they focus on their health and spending time together.
Jenelle first became well-known on TV in 2010 when she appeared on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant while expecting her son, Jace. The following year, she joined the cast of Teen Mom.
