Blue star Simon Webbe apologises to fans after hitting back at a rude spectator in footage from the band’s show at the Foodies Festival

At the Foodies Festival, blue-starred artist Simon Webbe expressed regret to his audience following an instance where he responded to an impolite spectator during a performance with his band.
Video captured by TopMob depicted the 45-year-old singer seemingly losing his temper towards a spectator who had drawn his attention during their performance in August.
The video displayed Simon seemingly responding to a spectator, as someone nearby disclosed that a person in the audience was making offensive hand signals toward him.
During the show, Lee Ryan restrained the star momentarily, leading him safely across the stage, after which they resumed their performance together.
In a heartfelt moment, I took a step forward to express my sincere apologies to the captivated audience for any inconsiderate actions that may have occurred during our show. With understanding nods and warm smiles, we concluded our act to an overwhelmingly positive response, leaving us with a memorable experience to cherish.
A representative for Simon declined to comment when contacted by TopMob.
It comes just weeks after Simon revealed he’d welcomed his second child with his wife Ayshen.
The couple announced on Instagram that their second daughter Riya Diamond had been born on June 27.

Simon and Ayshen are already parents to daughter Cyan, three.
The pair shared that Ayshen suffered through five heart-wrenching miscarriages, and then resorted to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to welcome Cyan into their family, yet they unexpectedly conceived Riya naturally instead.
Simon also shares another daughter, Alanah, born in 1996, with his ex-partner Nicola Jones.
Back in March, I, a die-hard admirer, found myself ecstatically bursting with joy as Simon and his beloved wife, Ayshen, announced they were blessedly anticipating the arrival of their second bundle of joy. After years of battling fertility challenges, this news was music to my ears!
In a post on Instagram, which was sponsored by Clearblue pregnancy tests, the pair posted a video that included past clips of Ayshen in the hospital amidst her heartbreaking miscarriages, along with a more recent video expressing their joy over the upcoming arrival of baby Cyan.
In a post they titled it: “Amazing things can truly occur, and we’re a testament! Thanks to Clearblue, we’re thrilled to share that our family is growing!
Following tough times marked by painful setbacks during our IVF journey and heartrending losses, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re anticipating the arrival of our second child as a couple!
Although this trip wasn’t simple, each challenge brought us to the point of sheer joy – somehow, through a stroke of luck, we managed to conceive naturally!
The post went on: ‘Our tiny wonder, expected in July 2024, is already brimming our hearts with affection and optimism.’
Cyan is ecstatically thrilled about this news, and we are beyond thankful for this wonderful development. Cheers to fresh starts and the exciting family adventure that lies ahead!
The joyous news followed a lengthy journey to expand their family.
During Baby Loss Awareness Week 2023, I took to Instagram to share our heartfelt story. We bravely opened up about experiencing yet another heartache – our third miscarriage.
In April 2021, they joyously welcomed their little girl Cyan into their family after experiencing two heartbreaking miscarriages and an unsuccessful IVF cycle.
In 2024, the band Blue is back together for a Greatest Hits Tour, marking two decades of their music. They’ve been performing shows all over the UK this year.
In the year 2000, the group came together and subsequently put out three full-length records called “All Rise,” “One Love,” and “Guilty.
Following a break in 2004, Duncan James, Antony Costa, Lee, and Simon debuted their first collection album titled “Best of Blue”.
The team initially got together again in January 2011 and participated as the UK’s representatives at the Eurovision Song Contest that year. In the competition held in Dusseldorf, they placed 11th following their performance of “I Can.
Subsequently, they put out two additional studio albums – “Roulette” in 2013 and “Colours” in 2015.
In 2013, they performed together with bands like Liberty X, Atomic Kitten, and 5ive for a single concert as part of the event known as The Big Reunion.
The start of their tour got delayed when band member Lee was taken into custody following disruptive and erratic behavior on a flight from Glasgow to London City Airport, leading to his arrest for intimidation.
He was handed a 12-month suspended prison sentence.
In Isleworth Crown Court, Judge Nicholas Wood stated that Ryan had luckily escaped an immediate prison term. He emphasized that the sentence was being withheld due to Ryan’s expressed remorse and his consideration for the singer’s mental health condition.
The judge told Ryan: ‘You brought shame on yourself for this. I think you are aware of that.’
He added: ‘The language you used may be acceptable in the entertainment industry, but it has no place on an aircraft being directed by cabin crew.’
As a committed supporter recounting the events, I can share that while the judge chose not to impose a custodial sentence on Ryan, he expressed that his decision was heavily influenced by several psychological assessments. These reports delved into the intricate details of the singer’s mental state at the time.
He was found to have various conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Post-Traamatic Stress Disorder, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and a history of grappling with alcohol addiction.
A psychologist additionally suggested that Ryan tended towards high-risk actions and, furthermore, was not well-versed in navigating personal interactions effectively.
If Ryan hadn’t suffered from these disorders, he would have had the capacity to understand that it was inappropriate for him to get on a plane while intoxicated. (Or: In the absence of his disorders, Ryan would have been able to realize that it was wrong to board a plane under the influence.)
‘Suffering from these impairments and disorders has reduced your culpability.’
The judge additionally gave Ryan a suspended sentence, as he felt the incident served as a wake-up call for him.
