Dramatic moment panicked Nick Jonas runs off stage while making a ‘time out’ sign after a ‘laser is pointed at him’ mid-show in Prague

As a long-time fan of the Jonas Brothers, I have to say, it’s disheartening to see such incidents happening at their shows. Safety should always be the top priority for both artists and fans alike. Having attended numerous concerts over the years, I can attest to the electric energy that fills the air, but it’s crucial that this enthusiasm doesn’t cross the line into potentially dangerous behavior.

As a die-hard fan, I’ve followed the Jonas Brothers across continents for their world tour, but nothing could prepare me for the unexpected twist at their latest concert!

During a performance in Prague on Tuesday, Nick Jonas quickly exited the stage when someone from the audience shone a laser at him during the show.

The performer seemed quite distressed upon spotting a laser on a fan-shared video, prompting him to hurriedly exit the stage, gesturing for a break with hand signals.

Initially, Joe and Kevin, along with their brother, stayed on stage. Not long after, they too departed, and eventually, the entire band exited as well.

At the concert in the Czech Republic, fans reported that the performance had to pause for a few moments following a laser incident, and afterwards, the band returned to the stage.

The video begins with Nick seen sitting on a chair on the stage ahead of a song, before he abruptly stands up. 

He appears to look at security guards as he speeds towards the stairs to get off the stage. 

As he takes off, he keeps gesturing the ‘time out’ signal with his hands, then picks up pace and quickly disappears from view.

None of the band members have discussed the issue or mentioned it on social media. 

Fans took to social media to share their concern for the band after the video was widely shared. 

Speaking with X (previously known as Twitter), fans expressed concern: “That’s alarming! Safety should be priority number one. It’s disconcerting that such an incident could occur at a concert. Thankful that Nick took necessary precautions and hope the security team responded promptly.

‘Genuinely why would someone do this and ruin the show for everyone,’;

‘Safety always comes first, and Nick Jonas made the right call. No artist should ever feel threatened while performing. It’s a reminder to respect boundaries and prioritise everyone’s well-being,’;

‘This is terrifying…and could have horrible consequences so please stop complaining about the artists who have to cancel their shows.’

Simultaneously beneath the initial TikTok video, other fans commented: “Watching him make that gesture is terrifying! I’m relieved to know everyone is okay.”;

‘That’s genuine terror on his face. I hope he’s okay and they can have a good closing show tomorrow,’;

‘Poor nick, he looked so scared,’; ‘I was there, poor Nick. What’s wrong with people…,’;

‘This is scary for artists, fans go over the board sometimes,’; ‘I meannnn it’s scary, what if it’s a real shooter, you never know.’

Back in 2005, my journey to stardom took off when I found myself gracing the screens of the Disney Channel. It was there that I became a household name, with our very own show captivating audiences everywhere.

Growing up with musically talented parents, I couldn’t help but feel the inevitability of my brothers’ successful music careers, as prophesied by none other than me, their biggest fan.

Joe mentioned during a recent interview in February that music has always been present in our surroundings. Since our dad is proficient at playing various instruments and frequently sings, it feels quite organic for us to learn an instrument and collaborate on songwriting.

Under the original management, the Jonas Brothers produced four studio albums and were part of the Camp Rock film series.

Back in 2013, the group disbanded as a result of creative disagreements and a significant divide among its members, causing each one to focus on individual projects instead.

In 2019, the siblings reconciled, astonishing fans by dropping fresh tunes following a period where they had grown independently while being apart.

Joe, Nick and Kevin were honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023.
