As a long-time follower of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, I must say I was disappointed with this year’s presentation. Having grown up watching these glamorous shows, the toned-down production values and attempts to appease contemporary social standards left me feeling underwhelmed.
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I stepped onto the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City last night, donning an eye-catching, shimmering black corset that accentuated my flair for all things bold and beautiful.
50-year-old model made a comeback on the runway of the lingerie brand after an absence of 19 years, displaying her elegance and self-assurance.
In 1996, it was her debut on the catwalk for a lingerie brand, specifically Victoria’s Secret. She made her last walk down the Victoria’s Secret runway in 2005, after which she shifted to a career in TV.
In 2005, she donned a satin bra in shades of blue and purple, adorned with black sequins on the torso, along with a fur coat for her runway debut.
On Tuesday evening, she donned a sequined black corset and bra, paired elegantly with glittering leggings and heels of the same hue.

The superstar completed the bold fashion look with a metallic silver coat that grazed the floor.
Towards the finale of the show, deemed “the most tedious ever” by spectators, Banks was accompanied on stage by her fellow Victoria’s Secret Angels.
After the performance, her followers on Twitter expressed doubts about Tyra’s runway attire. One fan commented, “Leggings?… It seems odd to dress Tyra Banks in leggings! She is stunning… But I’m confused by her last appearance.
I tuned into the whole VS show specifically for Tyra, only to see her appear at the end wearing leggings… instead.

On this special occasion, Cher, ex-member of Blackpink (Lisa), and up-and-coming artist Tyla took the stage as headliners – a historic first for the event, featuring an all-female music lineup.
Fans also slammed the presentation of the show, which was held in New York City.
Initial responses on X/Twitter suggested that many viewers found the modifications to the series unfavorable, particularly pointing out the reduced visual quality and an attempt to cater to modern societal expectations.

The legendary fashion show aired live on Amazon’s Prime Video, taking place at Victoria’s Secret’s flagship store in New York City following a break of six years.
It comes three years after the lingerie brand’s controversial ‘woke’ body-positive rebrand in 2021.
In a significant change, Victoria’s Secret’s famous Angels have been substituted with figures like soccer player Megan Rapinoe, who now serve as ‘ambassadors’. Additionally, the company parted ways with its long-standing CEO due to dwindling sales and a revealing report that alleged instances of misogyny, sexual harassment, and bullying within the company.
