Adriana Lima shocks fans at 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with taut face as she comes out of retirement at 43
As a dedicated follower of fashion and admirer of resilience, I must say Adriana Lima’s return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is nothing short of inspiring. At 43, she strutted down the runway with an elegance and confidence that belies her age. Her sparkling black bikini, sheer crop top, and matching leggings were a testament to her timeless beauty and undeniable allure.
On Tuesday, following a six-year hiatus, Adriana Lima appeared stunning during her comeback at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
43-year-old Brazilian stunner flaunted her timeless charm in a radiant black bikini, complemented by a see-through cropped top and coordinating leggings.
She sported metallic angel wings on the runway and tied up her dark hair in a high ponytail.
After taking a break, Lima decided to return to demonstrate her continued talent – also as a response to critics following the unpleasant online attacks she faced last year.
On a Monday, six years following her unexpected exit in 2018, she declared her return to prominence with the lingerie brand.
It is said that she felt pressured to come back for the label’s debut show following allegations of facial alteration and appearing drastically different, as seen at a Hunger Games premiere event in the previous year.
Apart from seeking a response to her critics, she was equally enthusiastic about returning to a job that she’s cherished for eternity.
As an ardent admirer, I can share that, due to life’s demands, Adriana found herself obliged to devote her time elsewhere. However, the passion for the role she cherished dearly never waned; it was merely on pause. Now, the buzz of returning to her beloved job is a feeling she yearns to experience once more.
‘She aims to demonstrate that her skills are still intact, as the negative comments about her appearance were immense. This return performance is intended to convey a clear message to her critics.’
Adriana has two daughters, Valentina (age 14) and Sienna (age 12), who she shares with her former partner Marko Jaric. In addition, she also has a two-year-old son named Cyan with her current boyfriend Andre Lemmers.
As reported, she’s optimistic that her comeback will serve as an encouraging signal to her kids as well.
They noted: ‘She aims to create an impression, and to demonstrate to her children that one should never allow the critics to shine. Her enthusiasm is high as she prepares to take action.’
If she has the chance to return the favor to something that’s been kind to her before, it would be an all-around success for both parties.
In 1999, Adriana joined the Victoria’s Secret (VS) brand, and by the next year, she had soared to the prestigious position of being named a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

In just a year’s time, the fashion industry was taken aback as the traditional Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, dating back to 1995, was discontinued following criticism about its representation of body types due to allegations of insufficient diversity.
