As an ardent follower and empathetic soul, I cannot help but be moved by Ashley Cain’s heart-wrenching journey. His unwavering resilience in the face of unimaginable tragedy is nothing short of inspiring. The love he harbors for his precious daughter Azaylia, a love so profound that it transcends the boundaries of life and death, is a testament to the strength of his character.

Ashley Cain has revealed the trauma over his daughter Azaylia’s death will ‘never leave’ him.

In April 2021, Azaylia, the child welcomed by him along with his former partner, Safiyya Vorajee (age 36), sadly lost her battle with leukemia.

After her passing, the TV personality Ashley has spent his days tackling daunting tasks that seem almost impossible. He has persevered through blood, perspiration, and tears to ensure his daughter’s memory continues to thrive.

On Paul Carrick Brunson’s “We Need To Talk” podcast, I openly shared: “My trauma won’t depart from me and I wouldn’t have it any other way, as the agony I bear is the very essence of my love for my precious daughter.

In an emotionally charged conversation, Ashley remembered noticing the initial indications of his daughter’s illness and learning about her cancer prognosis.

One day, Safiyya noticed a swollen area on her abdomen with a bruise, so we immediately called for an appointment. The medical professionals drew blood from Azaylia upon our arrival.

‘They told us it was AMR leukemia, it was very aggressive. She’s at a high risk of this illness taking her life and there’s a low risk of them being able to cure it.

They informed us immediately, and we were transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital from thereon, shaping my future experiences.

Originally, I was on cloud nine, believing I had everything I’d ever dreamed of. Suddenly, my world flipped over. I crumbled under the pressure. I found it hard to carry on, let alone stand or talk.

Ashley, Safiyya, and Azaylia had intended to go to Singapore for specialist leukemia treatment, but the doctors informed them that Azaylia’s condition was too severe to undertake the journey.

Ashley remembered when the consultant informed them that Azalyia’s tumors had returned, spreading to her abdomen, kidney, spleen, and brain. Sadly, this meant she would no longer be able to travel by air. Regrettably, there was nothing they could do to change the situation.

In simpler terms, the radiation treatment proved excessively severe; it could have been lethal. At that moment, they informed us that no further help or intervention was possible.

Initially, I had been praying that my daughter would overcome cancer. However, as time passed, my hopes evolved into a wish for her passing to be peaceful, so she could rest in the comfort of our embrace.

As Ashley reminisced about the day when Azaylia left us, he expressed his feelings by saying, “We were giving her transfusions to keep her going so that she could leave us peacefully.

One morning, we realized the hour had come, ensuring she was held close, and I kept track of the moments between her breaths, until there were no more. That moment is etched deeply in my memory.

Ashley, a former footballer, and Safiyya had successfully raised over £1.5 million for Azaylia’s unique medical care before she passed away. They later donated any leftover funds to The Azaylia Foundation, an organization dedicated to assisting families and offering unforgettable experiences to children battling cancer.

Ashley has recently become a father to a 10-month-old baby boy named Aliyas, and he has spoken openly about his wonderful co-parenting partnership with Aliyas’ mother in an interview with TopMob.

It was disclosed that although he and Aliyas’s mother, whose identity remains unknown, are no longer in a relationship, they intend to maintain their friendship due to mutual affection and regard for one another.

TopMob was informed by his father that they will maintain a friendship and share parental responsibilities. Their relationship is strong, so things will continue in this manner.

Truly delightful, indeed, to find such seamless harmony, not merely friendship, but a bond that surpasses expectations, all with the shared goal of putting Aliyas’s welfare first and foremost.

We share mutual love, respect, and a deep commitment to being the best parents possible. We aim not only to cherish our son but also to fully appreciate each other and the richness of life itself.

We’re handling everything with ease, it’s quite comfortable, and we’re making the best choices, always considering our son. It’s fantastic.
