Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy in the series created by Eric Kripke, recently mentioned in an interview that the prequel is likely to be a multi-season show, and hinted at what viewers can expect.

In a recent interview with Collider, Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles shared that Amazon Prime Video intends to continue the series Vought Rising with multiple seasons.
He believes the show is planned to have several seasons. The idea was initially presented as a prequel set in the 1950s, focusing on the character Soldier Boy. He immediately expressed his enthusiasm for the concept, and he understands the goal is to create a long-running series.
Jared Padalecki described the upcoming The Boys spin-off as having a similar style to the original series. He explained that his character, Soldier Boy, is essentially a man from the past struggling to adapt to the present day. While audiences are used to seeing Soldier Boy in modern times, Padalecki sees him as someone out of place in today’s world, like ‘a fish out of water’.
He explained that the spin-off will show Soldier Boy thriving in his element, finally feeling like he’s where he belongs as the most powerful person around. The series will also reveal the events that shaped him into the person he is, giving viewers a look at his past and understanding how he became who he is today.
I’m still waiting to hear when Vought Rising will finally come out, but the good news is we won’t have to wait too long for more from The Boys! Season 5 is officially scheduled to hit Prime Video on April 8, 2026, and I’m already counting down the days.
