Sweet moment Sunday Rose Kidman and her sister Faith Margaret are comforted by Jessica Rowe’s model daughter at their grandmother Janelle’s funeral

As a dedicated follower of the illustrious Kidman-Urban clan, I find myself constantly captivated by their heartwarming displays of family unity and love. The recent funeral of Janelle Kidman, grandmother to Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, was no exception. Witnessing the tender embrace between Allegra Overton, Jessica Rowe’s daughter, and the two young girls outside St Francis Xavier Church in Lavender Bay, I could not help but feel a profound sense of connection to this extraordinary family.

At the funeral of their grandmother, Janelle, in Sydney on Tuesday, Nicole Kidman’s daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret found solace from Jessica Rowe’s model daughter, Allegra Overton.

The service was held at St Francis Xavier Church in Lavender Bay after the Kidman matriarch died last month aged 84.  

On the outskirts of the church, Sunday Rose, aged 16, along with her younger sibling Faith, 14, were affectionately embraced by Allegra, who is 17 years old.

For several years, the Overtons and the Kidman-Urbans have maintained a strong bond, celebrating significant events together. On New Year’s Day, 2023, they welcomed the new year in style at the prestigious North Sydney penthouse of the family, which is worth millions of dollars.

Allegra, dressed in a black dress, embraced the two girls who looked somber in all-black attire.

Additionally, it was noticed that her father, experienced Channel Nine news reporter Peter Overton, was consoling the two teenagers related to Nicole Kidman as well as their cousin Lucia Hawley, who appeared distraught and somber in close proximity.

In a navy suit paired with a light blue tie, Peter could be spotted extending thoughtful remarks and expressions of sympathy to the grieving family.

His presence was particularly comforting, showing the deep bond between the two families.

84-year-old Janelle passed away last month, mere hours prior to Nicole receiving the Best Actress award for her performance in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.

Earlier today, the well-known actor was spotted attending a funeral, looking visibly upset and accompanied by her spouse, Keith Urban.

Nicole had the unwavering support of her sister Antonia, her spouse Keith, and her girls on a particularly emotional day.

At the church, it was noticed that Nicole arrived, hand-in-hand with her loving spouse, Keith, who stood by her during the entire service.

They bid goodbye to Janelle at the very church where they conducted the funeral for her father, Antony, who passed away due to a heart attack in September 2014.

Last month, Nicole and her sister Antonia shared an emotional tribute to their late mother on Instagram and posted several never-before-seen family pictures.

In the post, the star of The Perfect Couple graciously acknowledged and appreciated the sympathies and well-wishes from her multitude of fans and backers as they navigated through their period of mourning.

Nicole expressed in a shared statement that my sister, myself, and our entire family would like to express our gratitude for the abundance of love and compassion we’ve experienced these past few days,

Each message of love and appreciation sent to us about our Mother has touched us deeply, far beyond what words can convey. On behalf of our entire family, thank you for understanding and granting us the space we need to support one another during this time.

Previously, due to unfortunate circumstances, Nicole was compelled to depart from the Venice Film Festival and travel back to Sydney, her hometown, because her mother had passed away.

Janelle died just hours before Nicole was awarded Best Actress for her role in Babygirl on the final day of Venice Film Festival. 

Today, I found myself in Venice, only to learn moments later that my remarkable, courageous mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, had sadly passed away. This information was shared by director Halina Reijn during my award acceptance speech.

I’m utterly stunned and must attend to my loved ones, yet this recognition belongs to her. She molded me, directed me, and crafted who I am today.

I’m incredibly thankful for the opportunity to share her name with everyone here, through Halina. The blend of life and art is deeply moving, and it’s leaving me emotional. We care for each one of you deeply.
