Inside the incredible $15million Byron Bay retreat used to film Nicole Kidman’s Nine Perfect Strangers as it hits the market
As a devoted fan of both Nicole Kidman and property, I can hardly contain my excitement over the news that the stunning Byron Bay retreat featured in her hit series Nine Perfect Strangers has hit the market! Having spent countless hours binge-watching this riveting show, it feels like I’ve been on a journey to Tranquillum House myself.
I’m beyond excited to share that the extraordinary Byron Bay retreat showcased in Nicole Kidman’s smash-hit series, Nine Perfect Strangers, is now available for all of us fans!
Nestled amidst thick vegetation, this intimate wellness retreat boasts ten comfortable guest rooms and 10.5 modern bathroom facilities.
No price guide has been set for the gorgeous pad which boasts a geodesic dome, an outdoor cinema, a swimming pool and a fire pit.
On the weekend, it was reported by The Sydney Morning Herald that the elegant villa has already received a bid worth $15 million.
Businessman Peter Ostick and meditation expert Gary Garrow purchased a nine-hectare piece of land for just $1.8 million in 2016, and they completed construction on their property, named Soma, in 2019.
The property was used for the filming of Nine Perfect Strangers in 2020.
Nestled in the backdrop of Ewingsdale, approximately 5 kilometers from the bustling Byron Bay township, this center boasts a design conceptualized by architect Rieky Sunur. Its aesthetic combines elements of concrete and wood.
Highlights include floor-to-ceiling windows which offer stunning views of the surrounding hills.
The second floor also features stylish cladded walls covered in vertical wooden slats.
Within the primary dwelling, visitors can utilize a spacious, high-end kitchen equipped with professional-grade appliances and ample workspace.
Meanwhile, the dining room features stunning views of the lush countryside.
On the Soma website, it’s stated that a four-night full retreat package with a king-sized bed costs $3390 for each individual.
Meanwhile, in 2021, Soma’s owners were asking $6,820 for a single day rental.
For enthusiasts of Nine Perfect Strangers, Soma might ring a bell as the setting for the mysterious ‘wellness’ resort that played a pivotal role in the captivating crime narrative.
As a dedicated lifestyle guide, I often find myself immersed in various roles on screen. One such role that resonates deeply with me is that of Masha Dmitrichenko, a captivating character I bring to life in the series we both share. Masha is a Russian expatriate who has embarked on an extraordinary journey, founding Tranquillum House – a sanctuary designed to heal and transform its inhabitants. Through her, I delve into the complexities of culture clashes, personal growth, and the pursuit of inner peace.
In a tranquil setting, Melissa McCarthy, Bobby Cannavale, Reginald Hall, and Samara Weaving visit the retreat, each seeking spiritual healing and transformation.
But things quickly go awry for the guests as the truth about Nicole emerges.
In this revival, Nicole gets together once more with David E. Kelley, the mastermind behind Big Little Lies, as well as Liane Moriarty, the author whose books served as inspiration for the series’ foundation.
In the series Nine Perfect Strangers, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2021, Soma’s geodesic dome, a unique structure reminiscent of yoga, stood out as a notable element.
