Phillip Schofield confirms the death of his 'beautiful and dignified' mother Pat after 'holding, hugging and loving her' during her final days: 'I will forever be proud and privileged that she was my mum'

As a dedicated follower and admirer of Phillip Schofield‘s career, I can’t help but feel deeply moved by his recent heartbreaking news. Losing a beloved parent is undeniably one of life’s most challenging experiences, and my heart goes out to him during this difficult time.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m sharing some personal news today. After a long hiatus from the spotlight, I’ve recently returned to TV with a fresh new show on Channel 5. Unfortunately, amidst this professional milestone, I find myself in a deeply sad moment. I’ve lost my dear mother, Pat, after a series of weeks that have been both challenging and emotional. My heart goes out to my family during this difficult time, as we remember the love and memories she left behind.

On Monday evening, the previous host of This Morning announced that Pat had passed away. He shared that he was with her as she spent her last few days.

Sixteen years ago, she died, which was about the same time as Schofield’s father, Brian, who was 72 when he passed away in 2008 following a heart attack.

In October, the host came back to the limelight, albeit tentatively, for Channel 5’s series titled “Cast Away.” Over the course of ten days, he survived and cared for himself on a secluded island.

The three-part series marked the first television project for Schofield since parting ways with ITV and This Morning due to an affair with a junior coworker.

At 3 pm today, following a difficult weekend, my wonderful mom chose to be with her cherished Brian. (Instagram post)

‘Over three days we held her, loved her, hugged her and said everything that needed to be said.

She exuded tranquility, serenity, grace, and nobility. It is an ongoing source of pride and honor for me that she was my mother.
