We’re excited to recommend some top picks for you! Prepare your favorite snacks, settle under your softest blanket, and let’s dive into the best Halloween movies on Disney+.

Twitches (2005)

It’s an absolute must to watch Twitches every spooky season. It’s based on the book series of the same name by H. B. Gilmour and Randi Reisfeld and stars real-life twin sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry as Camryn and Alex, twin sisters separated at birth who are reunited on their 21st birthday and find out their witches and have magical abilities. After learning their kingdom is under threat, Camryn and Alex team up together to save it from impending danger.

Twitches Too (2007)

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but recommend that you don’t stop at just watching the first movie – you’ve got to continue the adventure with its sequel as well! In “Twitches Too”, the story carries on following the lives of our favorite twin witch sisters, Camryn and Alex. Balancing their newfound roles as princesses in their magical kingdom and maintaining a semblance of normalcy in the human world, they face a new threat to their realm. When an ominous evil power arises, these resilient sisters join forces to enhance their magical abilities, ensuring they’re battle-ready to protect everything they hold dear.

Halloweentown (1998)

Halloweentown is easily one of the best Disney Halloween movies ever made. It centers around a young girl named Marnie who embarks on an adventure in a mystical realm after learning from her grandmother that she comes from a long line of witches. That mystical realm is called Halloweentown, a magical place where supernatural creatures can lead a normal life. Marnie soon learns that Halloweentown is under attack from an evil force, and it’s up to her to put a stop to it.

Hocus Pocus (1993)

The movie “Hocus Pocus” features Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as witches who were 300 years old when they were last alive. They were accidentally brought back to life on Halloween night by a teenager. Now that they’re back, these three witches aim to take the youth of children to regain their powers and live forever. It’s now the task of the teen boy, his sister, and their friend to prevent this from happening.

Don’t Look Under the Bed (1999)

As a child, Don’t Look Under the Bed gave me quite a scare, but now I can truly appreciate its qualities as an adult. It makes for a great Halloween watch. The story revolves around a skeptical teenage girl named Frances who doesn’t buy into the supernatural. However, her disbelief is challenged when she encounters strange happenings and uncovers that these disturbances are due to a sinister creature hiding under her bed, none other than the bogeyman himself.

Following false accusations for the series of mischievous acts plaguing her hometown, Frances joins forces with her make-believe companion, Larry Houdini, in an effort to unmask the true villain, whom they’ve nicknamed “the boogeyman”.

Here are seven additional Halloween flicks on Disney+ that we highly suggest you check out during this hauntingly fun time of year:

  • Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge (2001)
  • Halloweentown High (2004)
