Michael Barrymore recently shared that he had hernia surgery and is now recovering, posting an update on his progress to Instagram.
The 73-year-old former television personality recently relocated to a simple bungalow in Devon, costing around £350,000, after deciding against moving to Spain to start a new life.
Drew Barrymore shared on social media that she’s relaxing and taking it easy, enjoying a walk with her whippet, Lara, at Blackpool Sands.
Knowing he wasn’t up for a long walk, they went home and spent the afternoon hanging pictures in their new house before taking a nap.
He explained that he wasn’t up to much while recovering, so they spent the day relaxing in the sun. The hospital sent him home with plenty of painkillers, but he avoids taking them because they make him very sleepy.
A hernia happens when an internal body part bulges through a weak spot in the muscle or tissue that holds it in place. It’s a fairly common condition.
He shared a post saying he was recovering from surgery, and his fans quickly sent messages wishing him well and a speedy recovery.
Lots of people are sending Michael wishes for a quick recovery and hoping he feels better soon! They’re encouraging him to take it easy and take care of himself.
Oh my god, can you believe it? I was SO excited when I heard Drew Barrymore was moving to Barcelona, imagining her living this amazing new life! But apparently, it was a total disaster. The Daily Mail reported it just a few weeks ago – her Barcelona dream totally fizzled out, and it wasn’t the fairytale she hoped for at all! I’m just heartbroken for her, honestly.
The performer, who previously planned to move away, has changed his mind and decided to buy a permanent home in Devon instead.
Since moving, Barrymore has been sharing his experiences in the southwest on TikTok, posting videos of his new house and taking photos with people he’s met.
This cozy beach house has a bungalow design with wood siding and exposed wooden beams. The kitchen features a bright white countertop.
There’s a small deck accessible from both the main bedroom and the living room. The real estate agent says it’s perfect for entertaining guests or just unwinding.
Max Barrymore was once a hugely popular television personality in the UK, earning around £2 million a year from ITV. However, his long career came to an end after the death of Stuart Lubbock at his home in Essex in 2001.
Detectives investigated him regarding the suspected murder of Mr. Lubbock, but he has consistently maintained his innocence. He’s now become popular on TikTok, gaining a large following of young fans.
He made a big change last year, leaving the UK and announcing to his 3.5 million followers that he was moving to a house with a garden near Barcelona. He was especially eager for his partner, Lara, to see his new home.
However, in March, he unexpectedly reversed course after Spanish activists involved him in protests against tourism.
In a raw video taken in his car before his long drive home, he admitted he was really struggling with homesickness, saying he’d never felt so upset and missed home so much before.
I’m really struggling with insecurity and constantly focusing on the bad things. I hate feeling sorry for myself, and I don’t know how to stop. It’s been going on for a long time, and I’m exhausted, feeling unprepared and like we’re going to fail.
‘And I felt so down about giving up on moving to Barcelona, I felt like I let so many people down.’
Barrymore based himself in west London before moving into his new home at the start of this month.
This cozy bungalow has two bedrooms and one bathroom, and it’s priced at £385,000. It’s located in a charming market town, not far from some of Britain’s most beautiful beaches.
