A case from Voight's past comes up in Chicago PD season 12, episode 4 (Preview)

As a devoted follower of Chicago PD, I must say that season 12, episode 4 has me on the edge of my seat! Voight-heavy episodes are always a treat, especially after the tumultuous events of season 11’s finale. It seems we’re delving into his past once more, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned from watching this series, it’s that Voight’s past never stays buried for long!

In the 4th episode of Chicago PD’s 12th season, there’s a plotline that delves into Voight’s past, and it’s one you won’t want to skip over.

Following a significant focus on Ruzek and Atwater, we’re now diving deeper into the life of our team’s leader, Voight, in an episode heavily featuring him. Given the traumatic events from the Season 11 finale, this is crucial to explore. However, it’s not recent past incidents that are revisited, instead…

Is it the same offender in Chicago PD season 12, episode 4?

In the latest installment, a woman is abducted, echoing events from Voight’s past. Back then, he handled cases where women vanished, and it seems there might be unresolved aspects. Either the original offender could still be at large or another person may be emulating the crimes. For now, it’s challenging to differentiate between the two scenarios. However, one thing is certain: Voight will relentlessly pursue this case until he gets answers.

In her role as Assistant State’s Attorney, Asa Chapman is prepared to intervene in this case. Her aim is to thoroughly investigate the circumstances and ensure that a guilty party faces punishment. She is committed to seeking justice not only for the victims who have suffered in the past but also for those who may be vulnerable today.

While Intelligence is operating shorthanded due to one team member being absent, no permanent replacement for Upton has been found so far. Kiana Cook has been announced as the one to fill in eventually, but this won’t happen until episode 6 of the current season. The Intelligence team has dealt with such situations before, often having a member on leave or assigned to another mission.

I’ve always got their backs, but if Voight delves too deeply into his own investigations, things could spiral out of control. You see, Voight has this unwavering dedication to solving cases that can sometimes become an obsession. It’s a double-edged sword – it’s fantastic for the victims, but when he pushes himself too hard, it becomes problematic not just for him, but for the whole team as well.
