Zack Snyder described how a quick sketch helped him decide to cast Ben Affleck as Batman. On the Happy Sad Confused podcast, he explained he took a photocopy of Affleck’s face and simply drew Batman’s cowl on top of it with a Sharpie. Surprisingly, that simple drawing was enough to convince him Affleck was the right choice – a decision that became famous in the world of superhero movies.
