After receiving a Lyme disease diagnosis, I experienced profound loneliness. However, meeting my loving partner became a beacon that helped me conquer the isolation that came with my health battle.
“During the pandemic, she received her diagnosis which was a solitary period for her. Consequently, she felt the need for companionship and offered a small prayer with minimal optimism. Miraculously, she found someone and got married in July.
Additionally, Miranda disclosed that she shared a unique bond with one of the attendees, for she found inspiration to pen her latest work from Selena, who battles an autoimmune disorder known as lupus.
She shared that after seeing Selena’s documentary ‘[My Mind and Me]’, it inspired her to be open and express her emotions related to her illness, and it also motivated her to continue writing.
As Selena became more emotional, Miranda went on to explain: “This book isn’t merely about illness; rather, it showcases my journey of discovering how to live abundantly, freely, and joyfully with purpose even within my specific circumstances.
‘I now feel I can be in the world as me. I feel fully free, if not fully recovered.’
She playfully commented on the title of her memoir as well, saying: “Boris Johnson’s book has been released, and here are my thoughts… Mine’s titled I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest with You, while his is called Unleashed. It seems we should exchange titles!
