However, unfortunately, TrekMovie.com reports that the initial 10 Star Trek movies have been taken down from streaming on Paramount+, a platform previously touted as the hub for all things Star Trek. This surprising move comes just a few months after these films were added to Paramount+ back in June, marking a brief return.

Star Trek Explorer magazine shuts down after 30 years in print

Here’s another way of putting it in simple and conversational language: Sadly, we have one more piece of unfortunate news from the cosmos: Star Trek Explorer Magazine, which has been our go-to source for everything related to Star Trek since 1995, is closing its doors after a remarkable 30 years.

Personally, I find it always disheartening when long-lasting magazines or projects come to an end, but 30 years is an astonishing achievement for any licensed project. As Editor-in-Chief John Freeman shared with Space.com, over the years, he collaborated with exceptional writers, interacted with many of the show’s cast members, and even stepped foot on the sets of ‘Star Trek: Voyager’ and ‘Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.’ The crew behind the scenes and across his three tenures as editor were consistently supportive, as were numerous actors. What editor wouldn’t cherish a job like the one he had? It’s been an incredible journey, and he deeply appreciates Titan’s trust in him to lead as ‘Captain’ more than once!

On December 4, 2024, the last edition of “Star Trek Explorer” is set to be released, hosting exclusive interviews with actors John de Lancie, Denise Crosby, and William Shatner.
