Halsey announces new Kate Bush inspired single ahead of upcoming album

As a lifestyle expert with a deep appreciation for music and its impact on personal narratives, I am thoroughly intrigued by Halsey’s upcoming album The Great Impersonator. Her innovative approach to promoting the record, paying tribute to musical icons who have inspired various tracks, showcases not only her versatility but also her unapologetic dedication to authenticity and self-expression.

Right now, Halsey is getting closer by the day to launching her next studio album, titled “The Great Impersonator.

On a Wednesday, the versatile fashion-shifter posted on her Instagram account about Day 3 of the countdown to “The Great Impersonator,” set for October 25th. She added an announcement along with it.

In a fervent exclamation, I boldly proclaimed, “The Great Impersonator #3: Kate Bush!” – eagerly sharing the latest tidings about Track 10: “I Never Loved You.

The New Jersey native, originally from Edison, shared that this song resonates profoundly with him. He also disclosed that the release date is set for October 10th, which is 9am Pacific Standard Time or noon Eastern Standard Time.

In addition to the post, Halsey (originally Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, aged 30) also included a picture from her album series. This snapshot features herself with her unruly, teased hairstyle and enveloped by blue fabric, remarkably similar to an old photograph of Bush from the past.

Looking forward to the release of their fifth studio album, Halsey shared that several songs on the upcoming record are dedicated to the influential musicians who served as inspiration.

Starting today and until the album release on October 25th, I’ll be portraying a different icon each day and sharing a little sneak peek of the song that was influenced by them.

Two days prior, the pop star paid homage to country music icon Dolly Parton when she unveiled her upcoming track titled ‘TRACK9: HOMETOWN.’

In the picture, she posed as if mimicking the singer-songwriter Joline, emulating her look from the cover of the album Rainbow (1987). She wore a deep-necked black and silver gown and had her long, golden curls cascading around her.

Halsey’s look for the photo she shared is a near spot-on replica of Parton.

On the second day of our eager anticipation for “The Great Impersonator” (released on October 8), I found myself delving into a fascinating exploration that echoed the style of PJ Harvey.

In the image, Halsey can be seen sporting a bikini top inspired by the American flag, which resembles the one featured on the cover of Harvey’s Blue Girl album released in 1995. Additionally, she has applied blue eyeshadow reminiscent of that album cover.

In the next slide is the actual photo of PJ, and it’s also pretty spot on.

The marketing campaign for “The Great Impersonator” kicked off when its initial song, titled “Lucky,” was unveiled on July 26.

Starting from August 15, there will be subsequent releases of songs titled “Lonely Is The Muse”, followed by “Ego” on September 6, and finally “I Never Loved You” in October.

This album delves into the genuine aspects of Halsey’s character and life, and its relevance to events spanning from the 1970s up until now.

Halsey revealed on Facebook that they created this album in the realm between life and death. It seems like I’ve been waiting forever for you to hear it. I can wait a little more. After all, I’ve already waited a whole decade.
