Farmer Wants A Wife star Claire Saunders reveals the reason why she and Andrew Coleman suddenly called off their wedding

As a devoted fan who has followed Claire and Andrew’s rollercoaster journey since the Farmer Wants A Wife, I must say their story has been one wild ride! From their whirlwind romance on the show to their sudden break-up, it seems like this couple’s life is a never-ending soap opera.

Claire Saunders recently disclosed the motive behind their unexpected cancellation of the wedding with her fiancé, Andrew Coleman.

The couple from “The Farmer Wants A Wife” surprised fans by announcing that they had ended their relationship in July, meaning they would not get married as previously planned in September.

Currently, Claire clarified the reasons behind their sudden split. It turns out they chose to pursue separate paths as their relationship faced tension.

In simpler terms, the reality television personality shared that they and their partner experienced stress when Andrew’s father fell gravely ill, eventually leading to the cancellation of their upcoming wedding by Claire.

‘I cancelled the wedding in July, you can’t make someone marry you,’ she told Who.

‘He wanted some space so I went to Darwin for the dry season and the wheels really fell off after that, we’re not in contact now at all, it’s been a terrible time.’

She expressed her deep sorrow about the split and acknowledged that it hasn’t been a simple process, as she continues to hold strong feelings for Andrew.

Although their wedding was cancelled, several guests chose to travel to Sydney anyway as they couldn’t get a refund on their flight tickets. Meanwhile, Claire stayed at her family residence in Tasmania.

All of the travelers ran into one another at the airport, Claire noted, finding it peculiar, since her friends were yet to arrive.

At home, I found ourselves surrounded by the bridesmaid dresses and new cowboy boots we had purchased. Suddenly, a surprise arrived – the wedding accessory, delivered through the mail.

Claire and Andrew got engaged after meeting during season 13 of FWAW, and they planned to marry this year, but ultimately decided to cancel their wedding a few months before the event.

In a recent statement, Andrew expressed that he is ‘proud’ of the two of them, even though their relationship did not succeed.

He found it thrilling and humbling, underscoring the significance of love and connection, as he reflected on his experience on the Channel 7 reality TV program.

‘Amidst it all, one extraordinary woman captured my heart, and we decided to give it a shot.

We decided to share a home, envisioning a life filled with love that would flourish alongside our farm. The experience was exhilarating, filled with fervor, excitement, and enjoyment.

He continued: ‘But life had other plans. Despite all the love and effort we both gave, sometimes things just don’t work out.

Sharing a life had its unique difficulties, and we came to understand that our destinies were not intended to be permanently entwined.

I’m disappointed that our relationship has ended, but I can hold my head high knowing we did everything we could. Even though it didn’t take us to the place we wanted to go, it certainly aided in our personal growth.

This project required a great deal of emotional investment and dedication from both of us. Though it’s difficult to part ways, we have grown stronger, smarter, and more aware of the things that truly matter in life.

Moving on, I decide to honor the affection we experienced, the wisdom I’ve acquired, and the resilience I’ve developed. There are no regrets, only appreciation.

In the 2023 series, the beloved duo discovered their romance blossoming. They became well-known for abruptly departing the show to cultivate their relationship at Andrew’s rural property located in Narromine, New South Wales.
