Lindsay Lohan teases Freaky Friday sequel as she talks ‘exciting’ Jamie Lee Curtis reunion

Enthusiasts are being whipped up by Lindsay Lohan as she prepares for the release of a new Freaky Friday installment, titled Freakier Friday, slated for release in theatres next year.
In a recent conversation with Elle, the actress, who is now 38 years old, playfully shared tidbits about an upcoming movie she finds thrilling and discussed her reunion with her on-screen mother, Jamie Lee Curtis.
In 2003, the movie “Freaky Friday” was launched. This film centers around a mother and her adolescent daughter, portrayed by Curtis and Lohan, whose bodies get swapped mysteriously upon reading a mysterious fortune cookie.
Lohan said the sequel will be a lot of ‘fun’ for fans of the beloved family comedy.
The film features an abundance of trendy styles that are quite thrilling. It offers numerous fresh, intriguing, and enjoyable elements, as the mother shared.

She then discussed working with Curtis again — 21 years after Freaky Friday was released.
Lohan expressed to Elle her gratitude for being back on set with Curtis, calling him not only a fantastic individual but also a cherished friend.

Lohan added: ‘So, we were really excited to be able to work together.’
She also spoke about their tight bond offscreen.

It’s not officially announced when Freakier Friday will hit the cinemas, but enthusiasts can anticipate it coming out around the year 2025.
Filming for the sequel began in June of this year with production wrapping in late August.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Curtis gave some inside scoop on working with Lindsay again.
‘The whole thing was fun, just from all areas of it,’ she told the outlet.
Curtis said dished that Lohan was ‘always’ in ‘mom mode.’ Lohan welcomed her first child, son Luai, in July 2023 husband Bader Shammas.
Curtis continued: ‘She just loves it. It’s actually very hard to pull her away from mom mode.’
Despite the red-haired actress not having her son accompany her on set while filming, Curtis mentioned that Shammas often collected her from work nearly every day.
Bader and Luai arrived at her trailer to keep her company, and eventually, they all left for home together, she enthused.
At Disney’s D23 fan expo in August, where they were promoting their movie, they were asked who they’d want to swap bodies with, as in their popular film, and Lohan replied that she’d prefer to switch bodies with her own child.
Lohan replied, “Perhaps it’s my baby. I’m curious, you know, because he’s so innocent and always full of happiness. Just to experience life from his perspective, day by day. He’s such a beautiful source of joy. I can’t help but be captivated.
