As a seasoned observer and ardent supporter of women’s rights, I find Katherine Ryan’s courage and tenacity truly commendable. Her relentless pursuit of justice and her unwavering stance against sexual predators in the entertainment industry is not only inspiring but also desperately needed.

Katherine Ryan recently shared the truth behind her neck weight gain during pregnancy, leading spectators to speculate that she may have had excessive facial fillers.

On Amanda Wakeley’s Style DNA podcast, broadcasted on Wednesday, the 41-year-old stand-up comic revealed some truths about the circumstances at hand.

She shared with host Amanda: “Upon getting pregnant with Fred, I needed steroids which caused me to put on a significant amount of weight unusually, particularly around my neck area. Steroids have an odd effect on where one gains weight.

It felt incredibly odd, and I appeared dramatically changed. Yet, I dared to persist and venture out in public, performing and doing stand-up comedy.

Many individuals on social media commented negatively such as “She’s overdone with fillers,” or “She’s destroyed her own face.” It’s similar to how people often criticize Simon Cowell, if that makes sense.

Katherine fired: ‘Or even David Beckham now, or Zac Efron. People are starting to talk about men and filler, and I think who knows who’s done what?

Occasionally, people may seem to have gained weight or aged over time, which can make it appear as though they’ve undergone significant changes. If someone were to compare a picture of you from two decades ago with your current image, they might exclaim, “Wow, look at the transformation!” However, I would argue that what I’ve actually done is endured a challenging life for the past twenty years while raising three children, which has undeniably left its mark on my appearance.

However, at that moment, I wasn’t engaging in any activities. Given that Nina is an extremely skilled professional, there was nothing I could do during my pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

After considering her past work, the comedian openly acknowledged that she currently uses Botox, yet she can no longer maintain any facial fillers at this point.

She mentioned: ‘At this stage in life past 40, if I possessed a defined Kylie Jenner jawline, it could make a difference, but I don’t. Given my facial structure, I’m not confident fillers would stay put effectively.’

I find myself quite intrigued by the idea of occasional Botox treatments, but I wouldn’t want to overdo it or use it on infants. That’s because their facial expressions are important for communication and interaction.

Amanda jumped in with: ‘But also, doesn’t your audience need you to move your face?’

As a devoted admirer, I playfully hinted, “Nah, they must be fond of Botox, I suppose,” because, in all honesty, my humor regarding Botox seems to have been temporarily put on hold since I can’t fully participate anymore.

It comes just after Katherine revealed she never exercised due to the ‘threat of male violence’.

The comic  told how she hadn’t worked out in four decades – while hitting out at sexual predators and taking swipes at celebrity Ozempic users and the Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sexual assault case.

At the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards held in London, she shared that for more than four decades, she has abstained from physical exercise primarily because of the fear of male aggression.

Additionally, the comedian mentioned speculations that Christina Aguilera might be using the popular weight loss medication Ozempic, following photos suggesting she had lost weight, which have been circulating.

She added about her aversion to working out: ‘Also, I don’t want to. Can’t I just be a feminist who steals medication from Type 2 diabetics to transform myself into Christina Aguilera?’

Referring to Combs, aged 54, being imprisoned in New York while he stands trial for sex trafficking and racketeering allegations under federal indictment, the Canadian comedian commented: ‘In just one year in the UK, approximately 800,000 women have experienced sexual assault.’

‘Surely P Diddy doesn’t have that kind of reach on the Internet?’

Additionally, Katherine disclosed the stern note she penned to her previous professional associates, who reached out following her announcement about a ‘perilous comedian’ within their circle.

The comedian claimed last year that there is a ‘dangerous comic’ working in British showbusiness.

In my recent talk, I shared an intriguing revelation: After I openly discussed some past professional experiences, numerous gentlemen from my previous collaborations reached out to me, eager for what they called ‘verification messages.’ They wanted confirmation that I hadn’t been referring to them in the conversation.

Katherine shared how she responded repeatedly, over a hundred times, with “I’m wondering if it’s wise for you to message me given our past,” and this elicited hearty laughter from the women present.

Last year, Katherine confided that she struggled with the choice between collaborating with someone she suspects of being a sexual assailant and declining job opportunities.

In her speech at the awards, Katherine referenced the male comic by saying: “After some reflection, I thought to myself ‘Why should I stay home? He’ll be there in his overly tight pants, he’ll be inside wearing a beanie or making controversial content for views, or whatever he does.’

Last year, during an episode of Desert Island Discs, a comedian born in Canada admitted to host Lauren Laverne that while she perceived the man as potentially harmful or harmful, she agreed to be on a program with him. This conversation took place when Russell Brand was under scrutiny for accusations of rape and sexual assault, which he refuted. However, it’s important to note that this episode was recorded before these allegations surfaced.

Katherine shared that she had agreed to appear on the show alongside an unidentified comedian, yet made it crystal clear to him exactly how lowly she thought of him.

As an ardent admirer, I shared my thoughts with the comedian in question, who seemed unfazed, yet it sparked appreciation among other comic artists who are well-acquainted with this individual’s standing. They truly enjoyed what I had to say.

In 2018, during their stint as co-hosts of the TV comedy show Roast Battle, it’s said that Katherine openly criticized Russell and made remarks about him on camera; however, these comments were edited out before the show was aired.

Roast Battle featured comedians taking turns making fun of one another. The initial season showcased Russell, Katherine, and Jimmy Carr. For the second season, Jonathan Ross stepped in to replace Russell.

While the program produced by Fulwell 73 was being filmed, it’s said that Katherine made accusations against Russell. However, these statements did not appear in the broadcasted episode, as reported by Deadline.

Katherine’s confrontations apparently showed that comedians within the industry had been openly discussing Russell’s alleged sexually predatory behavior.

According to a source, it is said that Russell became extremely angry when Katherine targeted him during the show. The newspaper was informed about this.

According to two other reports, it was stated that he insisted on the protection of the producers against any ridicule concerning these severe accusations.

Experts involved in the show disclosed their belief that Russell should resign from his position as judge, due mainly to the impression that he lacked a strong sense of humor.
