IShowSpeed Backflip Record attempt ends in dissapointment

As a devoted fan of IShowSpeed, I must say that his recent attempt to break the backflipping world record was nothing short of exhilarating and inspiring. Despite his lack of training for such an arduous feat, he displayed an unwavering determination that is truly admirable.

After 660 backflips, iShowSpeed could not continue.

After performing 660 backflips, internet sensation IShowSpeed fell short of breaking the world record for most backflips within 24 hours. Despite making progress until a rest at around 461 flips, his legs failed him before reaching the final 6 hours. However, he valiantly continued and was able to flip a few more times due to a brief respite.

“My legs are dead. I’m not giving up. I’m just being mature.” – IShowSpeed aborts Backflip Record

The initial announcement for the record attempt was made on October 7th. Despite having accomplished numerous athletic feats before, the decision to tackle such a monumental record without any prior training was undeniably risky. To his merit, IShowSpeed started off strong with 100 backflips achieved in only half an hour. However, the strain eventually became evident. After performing more than 300 flips within three hours, the streamer needed a rest. Fortunately, Jake Paul had arranged for a massage therapist to assist with recovery.

Due to his extraordinary speed, IShowSpeed maintained an early advantage. However, past the 440-flip point, he seemed to tire, resulting in an unsuccessful flip at 441. This maneuver seemed to cause him pain, as indicated by his subsequent comment.

Indeed, as I suspected, this is painful. Oh dear, this hurts so much. Oh heavens, oh my goodness, it seems I can’t endure this. Oh my goodness, my body, please don’t make me do this, my body. Please don’t call that a ‘GG’, no, this can’t be a ‘GG’.

“I am taking a huge gamble,” – IShowSpeed before his nap

After pushing himself to perform several more daring jumps, IShowSpeed felt he couldn’t go on any longer. Facing two options, he decided either to abandon the attempt or take a risky nap. He clarified his choice, mentioning that he might not be able to jump at all once he wakes up again.

Chat, let me be honest, I’m putting a lot on the line here. It’s making me nervous, and when I wake up tomorrow, I’m afraid that my legs might not move freely.

After taking a short nap, IShowSpeed reported feeling improved and expressed confidence in breaking the record. To begin with, his advancements were steady as he swiftly increased his flip count by 110. Following this, another brief rest was taken, during which a massage therapist assisted in his recuperation again. However, despite continued massages and sleep, IShowSpeed’s condition did not improve eventually.

At the 14-hour point, IShowSpeed dozed off, interrupting his record-breaking backflip attempt once more. While some viewers hoped for a renewed burst of energy, the streamer appeared less hopeful this time around. Disregarding his discomfort, he managed another 50 backflips, but that was all he had left in him.

“I will be back to beat this world record.” – IShowSpeed may try Backflip Record again in the future

Following additional hours in recovery, IShowSpeed made the sensible choice to withdraw from the attempt. The streamer explained that his legs were completely exhausted, and he felt it was important to handle the situation responsibly. Although some fans might be disheartened, for Speed’s wellbeing, this decision was appropriate. However, he wants his viewers to know that he’s not quitting; instead, he plans to return in a month or two to try again. This time around, he may come back with proper preparation and even the assistance of Guinness World Records.
