India Willoughby SLAMS ITV for allowing Big Brother contestant Ryan Bradshaw into the house after comments ‘belittling trans people’
As a proud transgender woman and a fervent advocate for equality, I’ve seen the progression of societal acceptance over the past few decades with my very own eyes. It’s disheartening to witness the regression that seems to be unfolding right before us, as exemplified by the comments made by Big Brother contestant Ryan Bradshaw.
India Willoughby criticized Big Brother participant Ryan Bradshaw following his jibe at individuals who advocate for specific pronouns, referring to them as “woke.
59-year-old television figure from India, identifying as transgender, voiced criticism towards ITV for permitting event organizer Ryan, aged 28, to enter the Big Brother house. She claimed that Ryan’s comments were derogatory and against the transgender community.
In his intro VT, Blackpool native Ryan said: ‘There’s a lot of woke people out there. It’s all well and good if you want to use certain pronouns and I get that. It gets a bit confusing sometimes when people start identifying as a spoon or whatnot.’
India posted on X a video clip of him, expressing disappointment with @buk. They pondered if such an individual would have been admitted into the Big Brother house if they had made offensive remarks towards Black, Asian, or Jewish individuals during their video testimonials.
‘It really is shocking how trans people can now be openly belittled in the UK mainstream @ITV.
An X user commented on India’s post saying they feel society is going backwards, given trans contestant Nadia Almada won the fifth series of Big Brother in 2004.
They wrote: ‘Especially given a trans person WON Big Brother like 20 years ago. Like, how far backwards have we gone!?’
India replied: ‘Absolutely. It’s all a joke to them. Reminds me of the 70s.’
TopMob has contacted ITV for comment.
Previously, India participated in Celebrity Big Brother back in 2018. During her stay of 11 days, she was the one who was voted off by the public, making her the first housemate to be evicted from the show.
On Friday, Ryan faces the initial elimination since he was among the last four individuals remaining in the storage room following a sequence of tasks aimed at securing housemate status. The challenges were designed for those who weren’t originally housemates to participate in.
He is up against Dean Smith, Rosie ‘Baked Potato’ Williams and Nathan King.
More recently, it’s come to light that Ryan tried out for The X Factor back in 2013. Previously unseen footage has resurfaced where he made comments about women with larger breasts, referring to them as having more ‘milk.’
In one video uncovered by Mail Online he sang a rendition of One Direction’s Little Things to a hall full of people who clapped and cheered when he finished.
An excerpt of his performance is believed to have been shown on TV in September 2013.
Friends online suggest he was considering returning to X Factor auditions again in 2014.
In his YouTube videos, he and a buddy perform and record their rendition of The Kooks’ song “Seaside,” which they do near the beach in Blackpool while donning white shirts and bow ties.
In another video titled “Site Specific Performance,” he demonstrates his acting abilities in a car alongside two friends, where they chat about a girl. The line goes something like this: ‘By the end of the day, it seemed she had a fondness for the character known as Rymaster.’
He later says: ‘Cause her t**s are that big, she has to drink more milk, so she has more t** milk.’
Ryan, known for orchestrating lively social gatherings and often being the center of fun, was once depicted in a photo with a can of cider, as a friend humorously labeled him as someone who might have a fondness for alcohol.
