Beyonce dazzles in gold outfit with mom Tina Knowles and Kelly Rowland at starry Glamour event in NYC
As a longtime music enthusiast who has followed Beyonce’s career since her Destiny’s Child days, I find myself intrigued by her latest submission of Cowboy Carter for consideration in the country category at the Grammy Awards. Having grown up listening to country music icons like Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson, I can appreciate the crossover appeal that many artists strive for, but I must admit that I’m a bit skeptical about this move.
On Tuesday evening, Beyoncé certainly embodied the glamorous blonde icon as she graced the streets of New York City in an uncommon public outing.
As a devoted admirer, I was honored to stand alongside music legend Beyoncé (age 43), her mom Tina Knowles (age 70), and dear friend Kelly Rowland (also 43) at the esteemed 2024 Glamour Women of the Year Awards.
At the event, Beyoncé, who took a selfie with Olympic champion Suni Lee, decided not to walk the red carpet. However, she was captured on camera socializing with celebrities within the luxurious Times Square EDITION hotel.
She slipped her enviable hourglass curves into a gold silk maxi skirt and a tight yellow sweater top.
Beyoncé styled her newly dyed platinum blonde tresses in loose, shoulder-length curls reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe.
She walked the location, sporting towering golden platform heels and casually wearing a plush fur-trimmed jacket slung across her shoulders.
She carried a brown clutch purse and wore yellow mesh gloves.
Along with Tina and Kelly, Beyonce was also joined by her cousin and songwriter, Angela Beyincé.
The superstar also rubbed shoulders with Samantha Barry and June Ambrose during the NYC soiree.
Following our photo session at the event, my mother Tina and I made our way to a nearby popular dining spot for an evening meal together.
The duo were seen being dropped off outside a private dinner party in a black chauffeured SUV.

As an overjoyed admirer, I couldn’t help but be captivated when Tina donned an alluring ensemble – a sleek, black satin number adorned with a seductive off-the-shoulder design and a striking front bow of considerable size.
For a bold pop of color, the businesswoman threw on a bright red lip.
At the 2024 Glamour Women of the Year Awards, Tina was honored alongside numerous other mothers of famous celebrities, such as Billie Eilish’s mother, Maggie Baird.
At the gathering, Beyoncé made an appearance for the first time since news broke about her submitting her latest album, “Cowboy Carter,” to the Grammys in the country category, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Previously, she had put forth her 2016 song “Daddy Lessons” from the acclaimed album “Lemonade” for consideration under country music categories, yet it failed to secure a nomination.
After the renowned country music artist failed to secure any nominations at this year’s CMA Awards, and walked away empty-handed with no wins among their 12 nominations at the recent People’s Choice Country Awards, they have now presented a submission.
Beyoncé, who’s amassed an impressive 32 Grammy Awards out of 88 career nominations across different genres, has yet to be recognized with a country music nomination. However, her versatility was evident in 2017 when Lemonade garnered nods in four diverse categories – rock, rap, R&B, and pop.
According to THR, The Recording Academy often relies on approximately 350 volunteers from the music industry for their expertise in determining classifications of content. However, there can sometimes be challenges when a piece of work falls under multiple musical genres.
Previously, music specialists had differing opinions about where Beyoncé’s album Renaissance should be categorized. In the end, it was placed within the dance genre and went on to claim the top spot.
Opinions on Beyoncé’s anticipated award submissions for this year’s season were split among fans, with some advocating that her work should be considered for the top country album award, while others disagreed.
One individual exclaimed, “Queen Bey conquers Nashville! Beyoncé is taking the country award!” Meanwhile, another confidently stated, “On my word, Beyoncé will emerge victorious in the country category.
As a devoted follower, I found myself among those who felt the album didn’t quite deserve the accolades. One individual expressed their viewpoint by stating that Cowboy Carter wasn’t truly a country album; instead, they considered it more of a costume play or cosplay within the genre.
Cowboy Carter was released on March 29 and is Beyonce’s eighth studio album.
