Bad Boys 4 is now available to watch on Netflix
As a gamer with a penchant for action films and a soft spot for the Bad Boys franchise, I must say that the release of Bad Boys: Ride or Die on Netflix is like a dream come true – albeit one that is only accessible to my American counterparts. The anticipation for this film has been building since its theatrical release earlier this year, and now, it’s finally within reach for fans across the pond.
In case you missed it, “Bad Boys for Life,” the latest installment of the popular action series, can now be streamed on Netflix – however, this option is limited to certain regions.
In a fresh installment, the action-packed buddy cop movie continues the tale of detectives Mike Lowrey (portrayed by Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence). This time around, they embark on a mission to exonerate their late captain (Joe Pantoliano’s role), who has been wrongfully accused of being involved in a conspiracy.
After earning a substantial box office revenue of $404 million worldwide earlier this year, the movie is now accessible to viewers through Netflix, but currently limited to audiences in the United States.
Fans of this franchise residing in the UK will need to be patient as the film is yet to premiere on streaming platforms. It has been officially confirmed that it will soon be accessible on Sky Cinema and NOW.
If you’re not willing to wait that long, you can purchase or rent “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” immediately from platforms like Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store, and other digital retailers in the UK. Moreover, physical copies of the movie are available as well. You can get DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and even a 4K Steelbook edition.
After achieving great success since its debut in 1995, Smith and Lawrence have discussed the possibility of reprising their roles for a fifth installment of the popular franchise. They’ve expressed that they are both willing to consider this opportunity.
Smith commented, “Indeed, our younger cast members will likely handle most of the action sequences. I must say, this universe and its characters are incredibly charming – watching Mike and Marcus on the big screen makes it feel like being at home.
“I always strive to ensure that the stories we tell are compelling enough – I wouldn’t want to create sequels merely because audiences will attend. Is there a significant event or development in these characters’ lives that would make it worthwhile for people to visit a cinema?
Lawrence stated, “I always have such a blast creating these films!” He emphasized, “It’s essential to cater to the audience’s desires. Working with Will is a joy, so if the fans continue to ask for it and the demand persists, I’ll strive to deliver what they love.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is streaming on Netflix in the US.
