Ewan McGregor offers exciting update on Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2

As a devoted Star Wars fan who grew up watching Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi in action, I can hardly contain my excitement at the prospect of a second season! The idea that our favorite Jedi master might return for more adventures is like finding a hidden lightsaber in the depths of Tatooine.

Ewan McGregor recently shared some thrilling news about the possible continuation of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, suggesting there might even be a second season in store.

In 2022, the six-part series made its debut on Disney+, featuring Ewan McGregor reprising his role as the renowned Jedi master, picking up the storyline between the events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” and “A New Hope”.

Although advertised as a self-contained limited series, McGregor suggests that Disney and Lucasfilm are currently considering fresh concepts for potential continuation, according to Deadline.

Clearly, there must be more tales between the conclusion of the ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ series and when Alec Guinness portrayed Obi-Wan Kenobi,” he mentioned during a recent panel at LA Comic Con.

Although it doesn’t guarantee a second season, the recent statement is undeniably more optimistic compared to what McGregor said earlier this year.

For a long time, I’ve mentioned taking on the “Obi-Wan” series, but I lied about it then. And I’m not lying now when I say that there’s no new season being developed, as I shared with LadBible back in April.

I haven’t received any communication yet from Lucasfilm or Disney about making another one.

Nevertheless, the actor conveyed his wish for another season, stating: “Obi-Wan was produced as a limited series and it has concluded, receiving great appreciation that I’m extremely happy about.

“I love doing it. I hope we get a chance to do another one and I’m sure we will.

It seems likely that I still have several years ahead before I reach the age Alec Guinness was in ‘A New Hope.’ Therefore, there’s plenty of time for me to add more stories to my life.
