As I delve into the captivating tale of Louise Teasdale, I am struck by her indomitable spirit and resilience that have propelled her through a rollercoaster of experiences. Born and raised in Yorkshire, she dared to dream big and relocated to London in her twenties to pursue her dreams at the London College of Fashion. Her journey was not an easy one, but she persevered, working tirelessly as an assistant to hairdressers on photoshoots and jobs, eventually landing a coveted position with The X Factor’s glam squad.
One is an unrivaled top-tier pop sensation, always impeccable in every move. The other is a controversy-ridden lower league soccer player from France, formerly married to a star known from the reality series “The Only Way Is Essex.
In simpler terms, it might seem puzzling how the clean-cut, popular Harry Styles from the stratosphere and the controversial figure Andy Carroll, known for scandals like infidelity and violence, could share a common link, given that their fan bases are vastly different in size.
Transformation: Lou Teasdale, initially a makeup artist for the boy band One Direction which catapulted Harry Styles into fame, is now a beauty expert and influencer.
Ms. Teasdale, in a recent turn of events, has been developing a closer relationship with Carroll, following his separation from Billi Mucklow, his spouse of two years and the mother of his three sons, who is often referred to as an Essex darling.
Rumor has it that the relationship between Ms. Teasdale and Carroll is growing stronger. In fact, reports indicate that the cosmetics entrepreneur recently traveled to France to catch Carroll playing for FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
Just last week, she was spotted enjoying a date in London’s Spitalfields with the former West Ham striker, 35. Meanwhile, Ms Mucklow was said to be ‘blindsided’ by the fledging romance (neither Ms Teasdale nor Carroll have denied they are dating).
It wouldn’t be fair to criticize her. Given her extensive network of high-profile contacts and her thriving career, Teasdale is an unusual WAG. According to one insider, she’s “simply so well-connected that it seems like she knows everyone.
Ms. Teasdale has made a significant mark in her field, having built a flourishing career as an influencer with six million followers on Instagram, two thriving businesses, and a luxurious home in Hackney valued at a million pounds that also boasts its own Instagram account – not to mention another property she’s working on renovating.
Together with her twin sister Samantha Teasdale, she shares ownership of the hair coloring business known as Bleach London, a venture they initiated back in 2010.
Currently, the company boasts two beauty salons – one in Los Angeles and another in London. With over £10 million in investments secured, and sales of more than £30 million worth of products solely within the UK, the business is thriving.
A friend of Lou’s, aged 40, comments, ‘Lou isn’t your typical wife of a footballer.’ Unlike the stereotype, she doesn’t sport hair extensions or flashy handbags. Instead, she has a more stylish and modern vibe that seems to contrast with Andy, who some might call a working-class gent.
She’s remarkably talented, incredibly intelligent, highly accomplished, and absolutely self-sufficient; she certainly doesn’t require Andy’s financial aid.
It appears that Ms. Teasdale will likely be the primary earner in their partnership, as Carroll, former football player for Newcastle United and Liverpool, reportedly earns only £3,000 per month at his semi-professional club Bordeaux. He further mentioned to a French sports website that this income doesn’t even cover his expenses.
He said: ‘To be honest, it’s even costing me money to come and play for Bordeaux.’
Beyond their contrasts, it’s worth noting that whereas Mr. Carroll often finds himself in predicaments following his alcohol-fueled evenings, Miss Teasdale abstains from alcohol altogether.
This July, footage emerged showing Carroll, under the influence, unsteadily walking along a Mayfair street and arguing with passersby, following an altercation with a random individual at 1am.
In the weeks leading up to his wedding with Ms. Mucklow in 2022, photographs emerged showing him unconscious in bed with two blonde women, during an exuberant bachelor party in Dubai.
Continuing the list of controversies surrounding Carroll, in 2012 he encountered police interrogation in Ireland due to an alleged incident involving a photographer, and in 2010, he was penalized with a £1,000 fine for assault outside a nightclub in Newcastle.
Back in October 2010, I found myself entangled in an unfortunate altercation with my then-girlfriend, leading to assault allegations. Regrettably, the authorities couldn’t find enough concrete evidence to substantiate those claims, and the case was dismissed.
Instead of having a drink since the birth of her daughter in 2011, Ms. Teasdale has chosen abstinence. She explained, “I gave up alcohol during my pregnancy because I lost my tolerance, and now I don’t enjoy drinking or its effects.
Many might wonder what Ms Teasdale stands to gain from a relationship with Carroll.
Unlike many a WAG before her, she has grafted hard for her career.
In her twenties, driven Miss Teasdale left Yorkshire for London to attend the London College of Fashion. Subsequently, she started aiding hairdressers on photo shoots and assignments, eventually landing a significant opportunity as an assistant to the styling team on The X Factor.
Quickly gaining favor among the contestants, especially the newly formed boy band One Direction who invited her to join their 54-show global tour during this time. Pregnant with her daughter Lux, whom she had with her partner Tom Atkin (a photographer and musician), Ms. Teasdale became an integral part of their close-knit group. In the middle of the tour in 2012, it was speculated that band member Styles was dating Taylor Swift; interestingly enough, Styles, then just 18 years old, even brought Lux along on his well-known Central Park date with the pop sensation!
Afterward, Lux learned to walk with the help of bandmate Zayn Malik, and was escorted onto a soccer field by another bandmate Louis Tomlinson during one of his charity matches. To this day, Lux, who is 13 now, still calls Styles ‘Uncle Harry’.
For over a decade now, Ms. Teasdale and Mr. Styles have maintained a strong, enduring friendship, one that has been rumored to extend into a romantic relationship. This close bond persists even though there is a decade-long difference in their ages.
It was touring with One Direction that introduced Ms Teasdale to many of her now celebrity friends.
I had the incredible fortune of forging a strong bond with Tomlison’s younger sister, Lottie, who was a remarkable 26 years old. Our friendship blossomed when she graciously invited me to work alongside her as her assistant, assisting in grooming the boys’ hair during their tour. It was an experience I will forever cherish!
The duo then launched the fake tan brand Tanologist in 2018 and are still best friends.
Through her friendship with Harry, Ms. Teasdale also developed friendships with the late TV host Caroline Flack, who had a relationship with Harry Styles in 2011 when he was only 17 and she was 31.
Years later, it was Ms Teasdale who found Ms Flack after she took her own life in February 2020.
At the inquiry concerning Ms. Flack’s demise, it emerged that Ms. Teasdale had paid a visit to her residence on the evening of February 14, the eve of her passing, following a message from the presenter indicating her intention to take her own life.
On that particular night, Ms. Teasdale dialed emergency services upon discovering Ms. Flack unconscious on a sofa in her North London apartment, surrounded by pills.
Refusing to go to hospital, Ms Flack promised her friends she’d go to the GP the next day.
The following day, Ms Teasdale, annoyed by her friends’ decision to call emergency services, requested they depart after spending the night at Ms Flack’s place.
Once alone, she took her own life.
In August of 2020, during an inquiry, I shared that my return to the house uncovered the body of Ms. Teasdale and Ms. Flack’s twin sister, Jody.
Fans were taken aback when Lottie Tomlinson, a close friend of Ms Teasdale, revealed that she is in a relationship with Lewis Burton, who was previously involved with Ms Flack and is currently 32 years old.
Following the death of her mother due to cancer in 2016, it is reported that Ms. Tomlinson and another individual met at a memorial service, connecting deeply through their shared sorrow.
However, Ms Teasdale and Ms Tomlinson are still very close.
Since parting ways with Jay Morton, star of SAS: Who Dares Wins, in January 2023, Carroll has become Ms. Teasdale’s first partner. They began dating in April 2022 after being seen affectionately together during a visit to the Coachella festival in California. During that time, she introduced him to her family and he developed a bond with her daughter Lux. However, their separation allegedly wasn’t peaceful, prompting Ms. Teasdale to seek a fresh beginning.
And that’s exactly what she has got with Carroll – albeit an unexpected one.
