Initially, when the house went up for sale, a brochure cautioned possible buyers against swimming in an empty pool belonging to Katie, and it also raised concern about potential soil contamination due to waste.
The ad for a pad online mentioned it could be transformed into a “remarkable home suitable for a family” following renovations.
The listing omitted any reference to a prior well-known resident, instead highlighting its features as follows: ‘A sizable standalone family dwelling boasting three living areas, nine bedrooms, and four bathrooms/shower rooms distributed across three stories, along with a separate one-bedroom guest suite.’
Back in May, I found myself being forcibly removed from my cherished abode in the heart of West Sussex – all because I’d fallen behind on my mortgage payments, a bitter pill for an ardent fan like me to swallow.
In 2014, the previous owner purchased this property for approximately £1.35 million from Lord Francis Maude, a former Conservative peer. This property was showcased on Channel Four during a series where the owner undertook its renovation.
When she moved out she claimed the house was ‘cursed’.
Regarding the Mucky Mansion, she shared that it’s been filled with unpleasant recollections for her. She emphasized that relocating signifies the beginning of a fresh, new phase in her life.
