Paramount Pictures’ horror film Vicious will be released in theaters in February 2025

2024 still has some time left, but there’s already an abundance of chilling content lined up for release in 2025. Take Paramount Pictures’ upcoming horror flick “Vicious“, for instance. It’s slated to hit theaters early next year, and let me tell you, the cast is nothing short of astonishing.

In February 2024, we heard about an upcoming horror movie named “Vicious,” with Dakota Fanning starring as the lead actress. At that time, it was revealed that Paramount Pictures was involved in producing this film, Bryan Bertino would be directing (“The Strangers” and “The Strangers: Prey at Night”), and Atlas Entertainment and Richard Suckle were set to produce with Melinda Whitaker serving as executive producer. The movie was scheduled for a theatrical release on August 8, 2025.

Since the initial announcement, a lot more details about this movie have surfaced. For instance, the release date in August 2025 is no longer valid; instead, it’s now set for Feb. 28, 2025. Additionally, it was disclosed that Bertino not only directed the film but also wrote the script. Furthermore, we learned about other actors who will be joining Fanning in this production. They include Kathryn Hunter (known for The Front Room and Poor Things), Mary McCormack (from The West Wing), Rachel Blanchard (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Devyn Nekoda (Scream VI), Klea Scott (Millennium), and Emily Mitchell (Ordinary Angels).

The narrative revolves around a young woman portrayed by Fanning, who, upon receiving an unusual present from a mysterious nighttime guest, finds herself engaged in a desperate struggle to survive as she descends into a labyrinth hidden within the present.
