David Beckham sent temperatures soaring at the weekend, as he showed off his muscled chest while enjoying a ‘self care Sunday‘.
As a retired football icon turned rural enthusiast, David Beckham’s life seems to be a beautiful symphony of sports, family, and farming. His latest endeavors into beekeeping and chicken farming are not just a whim; they’re a testament to his love for the simple, rustic charm of country life.
49-year-old ex-football player posted a series of photos on his Instagram stories, capturing moments from his leisurely day at home. The pictures included selfies showing him without a shirt, casually posing in his garden.
As I stood there, I wrapped a towel around my midriff and unveiled my toned physique, showcasing the intricate designs that adorned every inch of my tanned skin. That was me, David, proudly displaying my well-defined abs and extensive collection of tattoos.
He posed outside a luxury wooden igloo with a sauna inside, captioning the snaps: ‘Self care Sunday. Always important to take a minute to yourself and reset’.
He also snapped an adorable photo of his four pet dogs, cocker spaniels Olive, Sage and Fig and cockapoo, Simba, quipping: ‘On guard’.
The prominent athlete is recognized for his affinity towards body art and his well-adorned physical structure, which showcases at least 88 tattoos.
A large number of his tattoos pay homage to his wife Victoria (who is 50 years old) and their four kids: Brooklyn (at 25), Romeo (aged 22), Cruz (19), and Harper (13).
Previously, he had a ’99’ tattooed on his smallest finger as a symbol of the year he tied the knot with Victoria and the year their oldest child, Brooklyn, was born.
Despite having a tattoo that appears to be her name written in Hindi characters, it was later noted by experts that the tribute unintentionally translates as ‘Victoria’ instead.
Following the arrival of their second child named Romeo in 2002, David inscribed his name above the figure of a guardian angel, who was redesigned and adorned with magnificent wings.
In 2017, the loving father showed off the words “Dada” and “Seven” written on his fingers, along with his daughter Harper’s name inscribed on his neck.
In discussing his design choices, he had mentioned earlier that they represent the significant individuals in his life, whom he wants to keep close at all times.
On Friday, following another day of caring for his chickens at his £6 million farmhouse in the Cotswolds, David set aside a day for personal care.

Apart from tending to chickens, David’s responsibilities extend to managing a hive of bees at his home in the Cotswolds.
He went to visit them on Saturday, sharing a snap of the hives on his Instagram story and writing: ‘Checking in on the sticky stuff’.
During the lockdown, David surprised and thrilled his followers by unveiling his unexpected interest in beekeeping.
During the pandemic, the retired soccer player discovered a new passion for beekeeping and set up a hive in his own backyard. He frequently updates his fans about his experiences with this fascinating pastime.

‘I found out a bit more and made some adjustments; now, for the first time ever, those objects are resting inside. Quite thrilling, isn’t it?’
In a recent video update for his fans, the retired soccer player was accompanied by a group of chickens and other game birds as he showcased the well-organized farmland near his home.
David requires some relaxation in the countryside following several hectic weeks, which included attending Victoria’s fashion show in Paris and watching Romeo debut on the runway as a model.
